  • Year 1: Fantastic; Year 2: Terrible.
Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
Update 4/13/26: I had opened a case with eufy (Anker) support shortly before this review. I had expected there to be fuss about the warranty or that it wasn’t really an issue or some other way that companies try to avoid warranties. None of that happened. The support was amazing. I had to upload the logs, and then just several touch points on troubleshooting or that they were still looking at the logs. I then got an update that they had already shipped a replacement battery and gave a helpful video on how to replace it, as well as other maintenance. The battery replacement was simple and it does seem that there was something wrong with the original battery as it was very hot to the touch. A quick charge later and it was back to its original self. Have to give 10/10 to support. They were responsive and easy to understand, and regularly checked in on what was going on and what to expect. And since it seems the original battery did have some problems, I’ll go back to 5 stars for the unit as well. It cuts like a champ and I really love the hands-off nature of it. Overall, super happy. —- original review —- I purchased this at the beginning of 2025. For 2025, it was amazing. It easily cut my 3k sqft lawn, saved me plenty of time, was satisfied with my (expensive) purchase. It lived through two dogs and a fenced in are that made it easy to care for, durable against the summer elements. Then I changed the blades, did the maintenance, and packed it away for the winter. I remapped the yard, everything seemed fine. But the battery life this year is HORRENDOUS. In a full day, it can't cut more than ~33% of the same area and in a week (scheduled for 4x per week), it can't even make it to the 2nd half of the yard. I really really want to like this -- and I purposely held off on giving a review until this year because I wanted to see what would happen. If the battery issue were solved, this is an easy 5 stars, but it's insanely difficult to justify the cost for a single year. ... show more

  • Easy to use app and perfect navigation
Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
The latest app updates are a real improvement. The smart mapping is a great feature; it finally lets me place the charging base station anywhere off the lawn without navigation issues. Setting up custom zones is also straightforward. I have a problematic area near my yard gate that needs extra attention, and scheduling focused mowing there is simple. The navigation and obstacle avoidance work very well. My yard is large with several garden beds and trees, and the mower consistently handles it efficiently, covering the area evenly. Once scheduled, it operates completely autonomously: it starts on time, mows thoroughly, docks itself for charging, and keeps the lawn looking consistently neat, all without me needing to intervene. One thing to note: when it gets close to sunset, it automatically heads back to its dock to keep charging. This does mean it stops cutting at dusk, but the flexible scheduling options more than compensate. It's easy to plan around this, ensuring everything gets trimmed during daylight hours. The packaging is neat and tidy, no damage during shipping. I uploaded a video of the inside of the box. I like the futuristic look, and people passing by have been watching it while mowing and given me complements. ... show more

  • Huh. Well, THAT worked! Huh. Well, THAT worked!
Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
I've been researching robot lawn mowers for a freakin' year! Seriously. The Eufy E18 rates well, but the final selling point was that I like their little robot vacuum cleaners, so I bought one last week. Delivery took two days and unboxing was a snap. I downloaded the app and a firmware update for the E18 mower. Setting up the "garage" charger took a few minutes, and then turn it on! Initially, the E18 spent an hour just wandering around, not cutting grass but mapping the yard. It had no issues with curbs, a concrete driveway, pets, plants, or a water meter cover. It simply went around them. The mower almost got stuck in a sunken divot in the yard from a tree removal, so I need to add some more dirt there. Then the mower kept trying to wander into my neighbor's unfenced yard until I discovered how to erect "walls" with the app. I let my lawn get kinda gnarly since I wanted to give the Eufy E18 a good workout. I'm surprised at how well this mower performed, with nice linear stripes and overall pleasing cut. A couple of small spots need tweaking or a trim with a weed wacker. Shrug. It also doesn't work at night, but the upside it that you do NOT need perimeter wires or a GPS pole in the yard. This Eufy E18 is pricey, though not nearly as expensive as some. But it works, and works well , with a minimum of fuss. Five stars. ... show more

  • Mowing solution for elderly
Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
My elderly mother could not manage the push mower anymore. I could not manage her complaints about how long the grass grew before I could get to her house to mow each week. This back to the future looking robot solved both problems. It took a long afternoon to set up the boundaries. You basically babysit is and stand in the way when it meets your desired boundary. The thing worked great after set up. It was entertaining for my mother and the nemesis of the neighbor dog. The best part, I can remote control it from my phone on a different town. She is not tech savvy so when she calls me with a problem, I open the app and drive it to where it needs to go. It's like a RC car with a camera. If only they made tv remotes that could do this. Honestly, it was easier and cheaper than hiring the mowing done. It paid for itself fast. It was the talk of the small town and a great solution for an elderly person. It has a long battery life and charges itself when it needs it. The traction was good and it only got stuck on one hole in the yard before I filled it in. Yard looks great. ... show more

  • Pretty great product, not the perfect fit for everyone
Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
I really wanted to like this more. I have been following it after it was announced. My entire backyard is essentially flat and well within the advertised range of the mower, so, I thought it would be a good fit to replace an aging gas garden tractor. The initial mapping was pretty quick however it took four days to cut the backyard which to me was unacceptable. Especially since it’s basically a flat fenced in square with one tree and a shed. The quality of the cut was great. The robot‘s ability to navigate and map was great. The app interface was fine. I would suggest that the developers provide the opportunity to base scheduling on sets of days and days of the week. If I had the opportunity to schedule it where it would run two days on, take a day off and then run the next two days in a pattern that would’ve probably been a much better fit for me. I ended up returning this and buying an electric zero turn riding mower because that would provide me more flexibility. If I could’ve afforded to keep both it would be nice to have something that could autonomously run around and keep the grass trimmed while I worried about bigger heavy lifts. The other concern that I had that was more specific to Mallard than the mower itself was the fall. I’m definitely in an area where there’s a month or two out of the year where all the leaves come down and they need to be mulched. I have zero confidence that this robot could mulch leaves or maintain that area at all. I think there’s a ton of promise here and hopefully they continue making these products and iterating on the quality. I hope they take note of what some of the modders are doing. There’s somebody out there on the Internet, who created a different desk and mounted more blades to it. Well, I’m sure the modification would void the warranty. It would be an interesting design change for them to add to the OEM mower in the future. Anything that can make it faster or more efficient I did find setting the plate speed to Eco and making the robot move fast faster did cut the time down to cutting my backyard in two days instead of four. It’s a good value for your money if you have extra funds to add it as another tool in your lawn care arsenal, but I don’t think you can rely on it if you have multiple areas to cut that are on opposite sides of a fence. And also, if you mulch leaves or do any kind of other tasks that require more cutting power, you’ll need to make sure you have another mower. ... show more

Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
I am shocked how well this little robot preforms. It cuts great, keeps great lines, I found it super easy to set up and even easier to use. Cutting my bermuda grass yard every other day has made a huge difference. Super short and super green. I call it my “Sweet baby Eufy” wife calls it “Mowgli”lol. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! ... show more

  • Eufy E18 is working hard
Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
So far, better than I expected. Self mapping was decent, since we live close to neighbors we had to set the no go zones. It gets stuck, but far less than I projected. Working well. The app is very easy to use, take time to learn it. I would over project lawn size, expect it to take 2 days to mow .25 acre. ... show more

  • Overpromised and underdelivered Overpromised and underdelivered
Size: eufy E18 to 0.3 Acre
My yard is just under 6,000 sq ft or 0.14 acres. It's a nearly wide open rectangle with just three trees as the only obstacles. 3 of the 4 sides of the yard are fenced in and the 4th side is all patio and mulch beds against the house. This should be a nearly ideal yard for a robot mower. During the mapping process, it was 83 degrees and sunny outside and the mower overheated 5 times and got stuck on the fence at least 5 times. 1st hour of mowing ~= 1000 sq ft ~= 1st charge of the battery for the day when it's at 100% 45 mins of mowing ~= 750 sq ft ~= 1 hour recharge to get back to 80% battery before auto-resuming That makes it ~8 mowing times and 7 recharges for a 15 hour total but I only have 13 hours of daylight per day right now in early August. The daylight hours are shrinking and the battery life will degrade over time making these numbers worse. It takes 2 days to mow 0.14 acres even though it's rated for 0.3 acres. For the 2nd mow I setup a virtual boundary just inside of the fence so that it stops getting stuck on a fence that it really really want to get stuck on. Since it's only rated to remove 1/2" at a time, it will need to mow every day in order to keep up and that all falls apart if there's any bad weather. UPS is coming to pickup the robot lawn mower tomorrow. ... show more
