  • Title: Eufy E15 Auto Lawnmower – A True Game-Changer for Robotic Mowing
Style: eufy E15 up to 0.2 Acre
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been an early adopter of robotic lawnmowers for years and currently own three Husqvarna units, so I have a solid basis for comparison. While Husqvarna’s higher-end models generally perform as advertised, their entry-level unit has been problematic enough that I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve had the Eufy E15 for about six weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. Setup & Mapping Setup was incredibly easy compared to Husqvarna because there are no buried boundary wires—a huge plus. The one catch is that the software currently only allows one mowing map. I have two lawns separated by a two-step elevation change, so I had to build a temporary ramp during the initial mapping process. I tried manually moving the mower while mapping, but that failed; using the ramp and remote control solved it. Once mapped, though, it’s been seamless. Performance & Cut Quality Unlike Husqvarna, which works more like a Roomba—randomly mowing and relying on GPS to ensure full coverage—the Eufy E15 actually stripes the lawn in neat, close passes. The stripes are tight but surprisingly satisfying, and the overall cut looks more professional than anything my Husqvarnas deliver. It also combines optical sensors with GPS mapping, which means it will detect and route around objects left on the lawn instead of stopping or getting stuck. That’s a huge usability win. Limitations & Future Potential The biggest limitation is that it only mows during daylight since it depends on its optical sensors. Also, the software could use a bit of polish, but it’s functional and improving. That said, I like this mower so much that as soon as Eufy releases a model designed for larger lawns, I’ll almost certainly replace my last Husqvarna with one. Verdict The Eufy E15 is an outstanding mower that’s easier to set up, smarter in operation, and delivers a better-looking lawn than my Husqvarnas. Even with a few quirks, it’s a clear 5-star product and a sign of where robotic mowing is headed. ... show more

  • Well-behaved robot minion for my fenced yard.
Style: eufy E15 up to 0.2 Acre
I see other reviews with people having different challenges, but for me, 10 out of 10, would buy again. Worth every penny, and honestly cheaper than hiring someone to do a basic mow regularly. My situation: I hate mowing. I have a small fenced yard, with a big tree, patio, etc. I have a 50lb dog and I don't scoop within the yard (no kids, and she always keeps her business nicely in certain avoidable areas so it doesn't bother me). The ground is mostly flat, but I have branches and sticks in my yard all the time from my tree and neighbor trees leaning over my space. I hate picking them up all the time, but as long as its just bigger ones to pick up, it's fine. I also am in a cellular and GPS dead zone (by like a block, lol. Oh well) so the former GPS solutions were non-starters for me, and if you didn't catch the hint, I am way too busy (read: lazy) to manage boundary wire. Ahhh this thing runs like a dream. Setting it up really was a straightforward solo task, and it did a good job learning the yard boundaries without me having to do anything except tell it to go. I added a couple "must mow here" zones to fill in a few gaps, and that worked quite well. Honestly, it does a phenomenal job. It's only gotten jammed by a stick once (it notified me on the app, and I went out and pulled the stick out in 30 seconds). It doesn't mind the doggy doo. I clean that and mud off the wheels once in a while but haven't noticed any performance issues. Pretty sure I could avoid that by just waiting longer to mow after rain. It got stuck once in the first couple days, and automatically recommended I mark that spot as no-go on the map. I did, and never got stuck again. Speed, I don't know how to judge. I run it in the morning while I'm in usually in meetings, so it's irrelevant to me. Wow, is it quiet though! Enough so that my dog, a huge chicken, doesn't panic (though she gives it side-eye sometimes while it's moving around). If you were on the other side of my 6ft privacy fence, you wouldn't know it was running. Durability, hard to judge, but it's in great shape after a couple months. Eufy recently added zone editing also, so it's easier to set up different parts of the yard for mowing. Fair warning, it's kind of addicting to have a neatly trimmed yard with no dandelions popping out though. Somehow, I ended up just added days until it became every day. Whoops. Rain detection is great. I tried to force it to mow during rain just to see how long it would take to recognize it, and it straight up refused to leave its robot house. Fair enough, robot minion. Security features, I haven't used so can't say much. Safe area, and it only operates within my privacy fence. Tl;dr: Tech like this usually needs refinement, and I'm understanding of that. But still, for my environment, it's minimal trouble for considerable gain. I, for one, welcome our robot overlords. ... show more
