  • FASTEST and LIGHTEST and most PORTABLE
Style: GT SE Black
The media could not be loaded. I’ve owned a bunch of different scooters. Here’s why this one’s easily the BEST. PROS: -amazing price for what you get -so much lighter in weight than my other ones, way bigger deal than you’d think -has a carrying strap, this is also a way bigger deal than you’d think -faster than any other scooter I’ve owned of this size -faster than almost anyone else on Manhattan bike path -I’m 235+ pounds and it regularly goes 19-24 MPH -break and acceleration buttons are both right at your thumbs, the perfect spot -horn is right there too (so much better than any other scooter where everything’s in the wrong spot) -wheels aren’t air so can’t really break and can’t go flat -it’s also so quiet! for some reason this adds a magical quality to it for me -there are actually THREE separate brakes for added safely and personal preference -insanely good customer service CONS: -can’t adjust horn volume (and could be louder) -horn button resistance (harder to push than should be) On that last PRO above, I never would have thought it mattered or that this was something to consider. But it is. I’ve needed help on things I never imagined I would have to reach out for help on, and the response was fast and went far beyond what I had expected. If you’re looking for a scooter, and you’re not sure if it’ll be this one, please just make sure you see at least some reviews saying how great the customer service is. This ends up being more important than you can imagine. As for the cons, the truth is that these things really aren’t that bad. I’m just in a loud city to begin with. I addressed the issue by simply buying a detachable super loud rechargeable horn on Amazon and affixed the button right up near the normal scooter horn. Issue solved. SEE PHOTO FOR HORN I ADDED. Two other notes for a new user. First, if you need MPH rather than KPH, it’s really easy -- you just need to do it on the app. There’s no way to do it on the scooter interface itself, and you also wouldn’t know that from the pamphlet because it doesn’t tell you. So now you know, because I just told you. (UPDATE: The seller gave me the following correction: "You can do the switch between MPH and KPH on scooter too. Very easy. Just press S and power buttons at the same time for 2 seconds, then click S button to switch between MPH and KPH.") Second, for me personally, it took a bit of practice to get good at folding the scooter very quickly, but now it’s the most convenient folding scooter I’ve ever owned. The trick is to use your foot on the latch and to fold it at the same time as you push down on the latch all at once. You got this. SEE VIDEO FOR SIMPLE METHOD TO FOLD QUICKLY Definitely consider buying this one. I am even considering buying a second one myself just to have two (for a guest or friend or something). Easily the best one I’ve ever gotten and definitely worth this price. ... show more

  • This scooter is a trooper!
Style: GT SE Black
I live in New York and I’ve had this scooter for about a month now. I think it’s the quickest most enjoyable way of getting around locally. It charges super fast and comes with a carrying case that you can strap onto the scooter allowing me to carry the charger and top up wherever I go. The money I’ve been saving on cabs and public transportation! The battery life/ distance you get on a full charge is impressive if you’re not going top speed and you’re being energy efficient (using the electronic break which uses kinetic energy to recharge the battery as you go, letting gravity do the work on downward slopes). Unfolding the scooter is super easy, but I find that little red lever a bit difficult to keep down with my foot when I’m folding the scooter, I might be doing it wrong but it’s so small it constantly slips before I can fold the bar down. That’s my biggest issue with it, it’s not a deal breaker. This scooter has a good suspension system making it good for the bigger bumps on the road but the hard tires against rubble and rough terrain make for a rough ride where you can feel all the vibration. I wouldn’t recommend on stone streets, or really bad road, and definitely not in the rain if you face any steep slopes the tires are narrow and feel very slippery when wet. That’s not a test I’m willing to run. I live in a hilly area and around the highest elevation in Brooklyn so I face all kinds of uphill battles. I don’t know their degrees but the scooter is a beast, it takes me up with out any trouble. You have three break systems which work really well. I use two at a time whenever I need a quick solid break, but mostly try using just the electronic break for the recharge. You have to be careful with the e break its great but takes a little longer to stop and it won’t give you a full stop especially going downhill. I’ve never used the foot drum pedal and never feel the need to but you have the option I guess that’s a matter of style. Overall I think it’s one of my favorite purchases and has added onto the quality of my life. The scooter feels solid and performs as stated, people are really impressed whenever I let them take it for a ride. It’s stripped down unassuming appearance for all the power you get is what drew me to it. I wouldn’t choose any other scooter. Even the bulkier ones fall short in distance and speed. Though I have to admit the weight distribution of the scooter does make it feel like more than 29lbs but that’s a non issue considering most all other ones weigh much more. ... show more

  • Overall good
Style: GT SE Gray
It's a pretty good scooter. A bit expensive at $1k price point tho. Here's my pros and cons: PROS: 1. Lightweight, easily portable 2. Easy to store 3. Very comfortable ride despite tire size (still must avoid deeper potholes) 4. Good brakes 5. Great customer service 6. Good acceleration and climbs hills well CONS: 1. I weight 175 and sometimes carry another 25 lbs and yet top speed/mileage hasn't cracked 18mph/15 miles 2. Dangerous ride in wet conditions. 3. Kickstand poorly designed 4. Started making a squeaking noise. Not sure what that's about ... show more
