  • Don’t think Apple Pencil— Think high-quality stylus
Color: White
I have used several different Apple Pencils in the past, but got tired of paying the high price. Even the Logitech crayon is pretty expensive, but this one is very reasonable. It works great for me, and it might work well for you as well: Pros: - Connectivity: it actually doesn’t exactly “connect” to your iPad; turning it on just sends electricity to the tip of the pencil so the touchscreen registers the pencil. It doesn’t need a connection because it’s literally just a bare-bones stylus, nothing more, nothing less. - Responsiveness: it’s hard to tell a difference between this and the Apple Pencils. It’s snappy, accurate, and has the same sensitivity as using a regular pen on paper. Super easy to use. - Build quality: the weight, durability, and overall feel of the ESR feel a lot like a regular Apple Pencil. Maybe a tiny bit lighter. Cons: - Lack of features: Some of the latest Apple Pencils include tilt recognition (mainly for artwork), pressure sensitivity, rotation detection, and a double-tap feature to switch between tools. These make the Apple Pencils uniquely “smart”. The ESR shares more DNA with a plain stylus than it does with a “smart” stylus. The question becomes, are all these extra features really worth it? - Palm recognition: for whatever reason, I feel like the iPad’s palm recognition isn’t as good when using the ESR. I’d predict that the Apple Pencil, since it connects via Bluetooth to the iPad, is sort’ve able to “alert” the iPad when the pencil is in use, whereas the ESR has no real connection to the iPad. - Visual appeal: Okay, now I’m just nitpicking. The three-LED battery indicator, the logo printed onto the side of the pencil, and the USB-C port all in a row on the side of the Pencil give it a bit of a generic feel. Brands like Anker and Logitech have really done a good job and making their branding feel name-brand and aesthetically pleasing, but ESR has a little more work to do here. Overall: This is a high quality stylus that would please 80-90% of people who think they need an Apple Pencil. It lacks some of the Apple Pencil’s “smart” features, but when I had my Apple Pencil (only used it to take school notes), the only feature I found useful was the double-tap function to switch between tools. I even messed around with some of the drawing apps to see how the ESR compares with the Apple Pencil, and honestly, the ESR seemed to do just fine. It’s simply a high-quality stylus that looks like an Apple Pencil, and it’ll suit your needs unless you’re specifically getting it to do frequent, serious artwork. ... show more

  • Lightweight, magnet-charging stylus—excellent for notes and casual
Color: White
The ESR Pencil (1st Generation) offers excellent value for under $30. It’s light, comfortable, and works out-of-the-box for everyday writing, note-taking, and casual sketching. The magnetic attachment and tilt support feel intuitive and practical—especially for students or general usage. It’s missing advanced features like pressure sensitivity and double-tap tool switching, so if you’re into digital art, there are better options—but for basic use, this pen performs admirably. The connectivity is instant. Battery life lasts a while, sometimes weeks with constant use. The design is perfect as it feels like a real pencil in your hand. ... show more

  • Amazing pen but you might need extra tips
Color: White
First of all I really loved the pencil! It’s super easy to use because it doesn’t need bluetooth. The accuracy and light weight is also amazing. I also really like how the battery lights are a soft white color and not in your face blue lights. Overall the stylus works really well. But I only have one concern and I’m not sure if it’s user error. After only one day of writing notes for class and playing a word search game the tip already has metal poking through. thankfully the pen comes with 3 extra tips but if a tip only lasted me a day I’m not sure if the quality of the tips are the best. The pen is great i’m not happy about the tips:( ... show more

  • Great Apple Pencil Alternative for Everyday Use
The ESR Pencil for iPad is a surprisingly solid alternative to the Apple Pencil, especially for the price. It offers smooth, accurate writing and drawing, making it perfect for note-taking, sketching, and everyday use. Palm rejection works well, so you can write naturally without worrying about stray marks. The magnetic attachment is a convenient touch, and the USB-C charging makes powering up fast and easy. While it lacks pressure sensitivity, the tilt support and overall responsiveness make it a great pick for students and casual creatives. Definitely worth considering if you're looking to save money without sacrificing too much performance. ... show more

  • Quality alternative to the actual Apple Pencil
Color: White
My daughter needed a E-Pencil for her iPad, and this was a modestly priced and quality substitute for an actual Apple pencil. It is easy to use and charge, and paired immediately with her iPad. There have been no issues using it, and I'm glad I bought it instead of spending a whole lot more money on an actual Apple pencil that has all the same abilities as the one I bought which was at a fraction of the price. ... show more

  • Good ipad stylus
Color: White
UPDATE: The seller reached out and offered a replacement. I have been trying it out and so far there’s been no connection issues. Maybe it was just my ipad at the time or a bad batch, but this replacement works perfectly fine. I think this pen is great for taking notes and occasional doodles, but if you are into art maybe its best to get an apple pencil because none of the dupes will have pressure sensitivity. Another great thing about this pen is that the tilt sensitivity is really good. I had bought a Best buy brand first and the tilt sensitivity was really off while on this one its really good. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really wanted to like this… i saw reviews everywhere saying it was one of the best apple pencil alternatives. the feel is great and everything but it turns off every few minutes, sometimes not even a whole minute! i thought i got a defective one so i asked for a replacement, but the new one is having the same issue. I charged both of them for a long time both using my ipad and a separate charger and no difference. I will be drawing and it just turns off and its very fustrating. ... show more

  • Tip comes off and won't reattach. Replacements won't attach either.
The product works great. Both, Tilt Sensitivity and Palm Rejection work properly. My only concern is when replacing the tip, it doesn't screw / attach / or stay on at all. I can no longer use the pen. Tip replacements do not stay attached to the pen. I ordered in January and it is only Feb, tip came off and won't attach again, nor will the replacement tips. ... show more
