I ordered this Ihomekee Espresso Machine as soon as I saw it and it is a winner. First, it is rather a Personal Espresso Machine, it is not comparable – nor it tries to be – a full scale espresso machine made for professionals. This is a professionally made machine for Personal Use. It comes well packaged, and requires minimum learning time. The manual is well written and it is important that the water needs to be heated before any operation. So, the button you choose (it has an on/off button in the base and an on/off button in the dashboard) will light up intermittently on the dashboard while it is heating, and then, when the solid light comes up, is when you get either the vapor or the pressure and heat for your espresso. I’ve had the fortune of handling all types of espresso makers, even a shot to designing them, and this is as compact as I’ve seen except, of course, those that have no vapor line. Regarding the cleaning the portafilter, it is standard procedure: just put the lever on top of the rim (see pics) and hold it in place while you knock the contents out. As simple as that, no drama here. Also, the machine is full of weight, and money, saving parts, which makes it lighter that similar machines, and easier to deal with. As for the grind, the instructions make it clear: use coarse grinding. That’s it. But if you have regular coffee, go ahead and try it. Nothing bad will come out of it. I roast and grind my own coffee beans, but that is completely up to you. Espresso coffee is abundant in any supermarkets. Use the tamper you like; the one that comes with the machines is good enough. This is a great machine, a great Personal Espresso Machine. I like it very much.

I like this espresso machine, but occasionally when fully locking the portafiller in, a small amout of espresso will spray out the side. It seems like in order to combat this, I need to overfill the portafiller and torque it into the group head as much as possible. It's possible the error is on my end, so I'll revisit this review if I eventually figure it out. Other than that, the espresso tastes good (at least to someone who is relatively new at making espresso). The steamer heats up very quickly, as does the water. When it's turned on, water will leak out the group head if the portafiller isn't in place. I have no idea if this is normal espresso machine behavior so make of that what you will.

I love that it has a water reservoir. I do wish that there was a better way to grip it and/or keep the base from moving to close the basket. It is quite difficult to get it all the way to the locked position. Outside of that though, everything is great.

I want to like this more but just can’t. First and foremost it is too light to put the portafilter in without holding the whole machine. The small size is convenient for taking up shelf space but it hinders the frothing stem. The stem is no long enough and doesn’t have enough clearance to place a container under and get good heating. They should have made the whole thing 4 inches taller and added 2-3 inches to the frother stem.

This is the first time I used an espresso machine! It's nice, sleek and compact. It comes with everything you need to make a great espresso. There are two coffee pods for single or double brewing. The milk frother wand can also be removed for easier cleaning. The water reservoir is easily removed for filling and cleaning. I'm still a new hand for this machine and may not be too demanding, but it gives me what I need for now, and it's a good start - I might not need an upgrade at all. So far I'm pretty happy!

im not a coffee guru by any stretch of the imagination...... but i did manage to get it setup and made a nice strong drink....... steamer works good enough.... makes coffee good enough...... took me a while to get it all figured out and working..... but after that it works great.... overall i am very happy with this machine and think it is a steal for the price
