  • Surprisingly Amazing Espresso Machine. Budget-Friendly & Powerful!
The media could not be loaded. As a busy mom, I need my coffee — and I’ve been hunting for an affordable espresso machine that actually delivers. This one blew me away for the price. I honestly didn’t expect much, but it completely exceeded my expectations. First of all, it heats up quickly and pulls a rich, smooth shot of espresso with great crema. The flavor is way better than what I was getting from my pod machine, and I love that I can use my favorite ground coffee. The steam frother is a total bonus — it’s not just a decorative feature. It works well for frothing milk for lattes and cappuccinos, and I’ve even used it to make hot chocolate for my kids. It’s easy to use and clean, which is a big win in my book. What really sold me is the compact size. It doesn’t take up much counter space but still feels sturdy and well-made. The design is sleek and simple, and it fits perfectly in our small kitchen. For the price, this machine is an absolute gem. If you want to upgrade your coffee game without spending hundreds, this is it. I now get to enjoy a cozy café moment at home every morning — no lines, no overpriced drinks, and no regrets! Highly recommend — great for beginners or anyone who wants solid espresso and frothy drinks without breaking the bank. ... show more

  • Small, but mighty delicious espresso maker!
Ok, I will say that I love this little espresso maker. The fact that you can steam/ froth milk is a big plus! It's very easy to use, with simple to follow directions. It comes apart easily to clean (which you will need to do after every use). The filter is a little hard to lock into place, requiring 2 hands, one to lock and one to hold the machine tightly so you can turn the filter. I do wish the carafe was a little bigger, but I appreciate that the machine doesn't take up much room. But it is definitely smaller than I imagined. It brews very quickly and doesn't take long to heat up at all, and the liquid is HOT. Overall, I would recommend to someone with limited space, looking for a small, single serve espresso maker. ... show more

  • Works as well as others in price range, markings are hard to read
This is the third espresso machine in this price range I’ve had over the years. The last one I keep at my in-laws’ house is a Mr. Coffee that is about 15 years old. It still works just fine. These low-cost units are not complicated machines. The frother nozzle on this one looks different than the one on my old Mr. Coffee, and I can’t tell you if it works better for making micro foam, because I only drink almond milk, which isn’t famous for its foam, so I don’t usually bother. I did while testing it, and you can see in the picture that it does foam, but it’s not the lovely foam you get on dairy milk with the right machine by someone who knows what they are doing. I don’t even steam almond milk, I just heat it in the microwave. It doesn’t have the sugars that break down the way dairy milk does when it is steamed. (The lactose breaks down into simpler sugars, making the milk sweeter. Simpler sugars are of a higher glycemic index, so it makes it, to my knowledge, worse for your health.) There is the other issue with steaming dairy milk with a machine like this (which I used to do decades ago), and that is it uses some of the water that you want to have go through your espresso. If you’re only making two shots, then that’s less of an issue, except that you still want to make sure that you use up all the water in the machine. If you want four shots of espresso and steamed milk, you’re either going to have to have cold espresso or cold milk, because you are supposed to let the machine cool down between filling it. The instruction manual makes it clear on page 4 that you are not to remove the water tank lid until the machine has cooled down. If you want a cappuccino with steamed dairy milk, you have to make a sacrifice in the process. I make lattes with microwaved almond milk and don’t feel like I’m missing anything except milk sugar, cholesterol, and extra calories. Almond milk is fortified with calcium. Unlike my last machine, this one specifically asks for a medium grind and to be lightly tamped. My ex-barista boyfriend thought it was weird that the Mr. Coffee machine did not want the coffee tamped. Also different from my last machines, both of them, is that the different settings are printed lightly and poorly, and the audible “click” between each of the settings is quieter, to where it might be hard to hear in a noisy house. I consider this to be the biggest issue with this machine. It’s still usable, it’s just a drawback you have to and can learn to overcome. I used espresso ground coffee despite the directions, because my favorite and the most easily available to me, espresso roasted and ground coffee, is Cafe Bustello. I am not a coffee snob. I like my coffee drinks full of almond milk and artificially sweetened coffee syrups. Sometimes, I like them iced. Basically, I like the “girly” drinks from coffee shops, but they rarely have sugar-free almond milk or any flavor of sugar-free coffee syrup other than vanilla. So, if it’s autumn and I’m in basic mode, and I want a low-calorie, giant, pumpkin spice latte made with unsweetened almond milk, I have to make it myself at home. Which I recommend, because even if you buy this very modestly priced machine, it’s so much cheaper and not a health-disaster sugar bomb. Also, it doesn’t matter as much if you have a nine-bar professional espresso machine and tamp perfectly and all that, because if you prefer loading it with flavoring and alternative milks, you’re probably never sitting with a tiny cup, taking the little intentional noisy slurps that coffee enthusiasts do to detect which side of a hill, in which country, and which variety the coffee it is. If that’s important to you, you’re going to need a machine at a different price range, training, and acute taste buds. If you’re giving it as a gift, you’ll want to know if the person is serious about artisanal coffee or wants to make something flavored like they get from a chain coffee shop. ... show more

  • Affordable, compact, and café-ready—perfect for everyday espresso and lattes.
This compact espresso machine is a budget-friendly choice for home or office use, brewing up to 4 cups of espresso, cappuccino, or latte. I am big fan of latte so i am so excited with 3.5 bar pressure, an 800W heating element, and a built-in steam wand. It is ideal for people like me seeking café-style drinks without the high price or bulky design. This machine is super perfect for my counter. ... show more

  • easy to use affordable and wish they use stainless steel throughout
This little espresso machine is super easy to use: just follow the instructions and you’ll be making decent espresso at home in no time. The built-in steam wand is great for frothing milk if you’re into lattes or cappuccinos. It’s compact, so it doesn’t take up much space and is easy to move around. Brews pretty fast too and it can be ready in under 2 minutes, which is awesome for busy mornings. My only gripe is that I wish the water reservoir were stainless steel instead of aluminum. Other than that, it’s a solid and affordable option for everyday espresso. ... show more

  • Fantastic
I'm not a coffee connoisseur and new to fancy devices. This is my first such coffee maker, or expresso maker. I normally just do the easy instant coffee but figure I try to enjoy some better coffee. I tested this with some 2x caffeine Vietnamese coffee. The experience was quite easy, of course after reading what expresso is/was I realized I didn't tamp the coffee down as the instructions suggested. Even so, I was able to enjoy some quality coffee. Quite simple enough for an old man to use. ... show more
