My DeLonghi coffee maker similar to this one also made in China was broken that I bought about 7 years ago here in Amazon, now I can’t no longer find any DeLonghi brand at this price range so I bought this one to give it a try, after using this I felt it’s quite similar to the one branded DeLonghi. The only drawback is that it doesn’t come with a coffee knock holder that you can’t just put it on the table. Fortunately my older DeLonghi holder fit and does this job for me. The expresso part is amazing, and does taste just like Starbucks espresso. I haven’t had to opportunity to try out the milk frothier yet. There’s a few flaws, but nothing that can’t be fixed. 1) You MUST unplug it after and before use. It will keep boiling the left over water, even in the “off” position. If you add the water to the tank while plugged in, it might start boiling before hand. 2) The “close” position is actually the “pause” position. In the instructions, it says to turn to the “close” position, but on the knob (on mine at least) it says “pause”. 3) CLEAN before using. In the instructions it says to clean thoroughly. It suggests to clean the materials with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. I suggest using alcohol the first time. The funnel part has this residue, almost metallic. It will rub off onto your fingers, and you’ll probably ingest it if you don’t clean it. 4) Run it through at LEAST 4-5 times with just water, and then maybe one time with the espresso/coffee powder. 5) The funnel is hard to lock into place. Start from the left hand corner, and turn towards the “lock” label on the machine. Doesn’t have to line up exactly, just make sure it’s stuck on there completely. 6) I suggest using grounded expresso beans, not coffee powder. I also suggest reading ALL instructions, and filling the powder to the line you filled the pot to. Ex: inside the mesh is a 2 line, and on the pot there’s a 2 line. Both need to match. ... show more

Nice little machine for the price, I've been using it every morning before work. Only thing to watch out for is that it is a little difficult to make sure the espresso wand is tightly secured in the machine, I sometimes have to kneel down to make sure it lines up. The first time I tried to pull a shot. I thought it was lined up but it wasn't and it made a huge mess but as soon as I figured it that out it's been working great! I like the measurements on the cup and wand, I also like that you can make two or four shots. I usually split the difference and make three. ... show more
