  • Barrika retro espresso machine
Color: stainless steel
Works as it should, looks nice , easy to use , simple, straight forward design. Great value for the cost of unit . Size is standard for most machines . Not super quiet . Very happy with purchase

  • Not the Best!
Color: stainless steel
While it did produce a cup of espresso, it took forever. The coffee just dribbled out -very slowly. It was also very hard to turn the pot filter..

  • makes good espresso, portafilter extremely hard to turn
Color: stainless steel
pretty good machine, makes very good espresso with nice creme nice and hot. easy to use, but my only complaint is that the portafilter is very hard to turn. I've been using it for about a month now and its gotten a little easier to turn so I guess it needs some breaking in but I don't think it should be that way. I literally have to hold the entire unit against my chest to twist the filter on, its kind of ridiculous that I have to do a mini workout to use the machine. The steamer works, takes some practice to understand how to keep the steam going without turning back into water. The milk doesn't get super foamy maybe I'm doing it wrong seems like a tiny bit of foam with water and milk. Overall looks nice on the counter and operates nicely. ... show more

  • Worst machine ever - do not buy
Color: stainless steel
Do not buy this machine - the frother lasted about 3 weeks and I went to pull the water container off and the stopper popped off and now I cant find one piece that helps it keep the water from leaking.

  • Great basic espresso maker that is super easy to use!
I’m not really a coffee person, but I am a big time espresso drinker. I’ve owned several machines over the years, the Ninja Espresso Bar, Nespresso, and a few others, but none of them have ever been a true, simple, traditional espresso machine. So I was excited to try this one, and honestly, it’s been such a pleasant surprise. First of all, the design is adorable. It looks like something straight out of a 1950s café with that retro charm. It actually looks way more expensive than it is. It feels well made and sturdy, but it’s definitely a basic espresso machine, simple, clean, and straightforward, which I actually really like. It comes with the essentials including a portafilter, single and double baskets, measuring scoop, and a tamper. I do wish it included a milk frothing pitcher, but that’s the only thing missing. The 1.8L water tank is huge for a machine this size. You can remove it to refill or just lift the little flap, super convenient either way. And surprisingly, it’s quieter than I expected compared to some of my previous machines. The steam wand/milk frother is pretty loud though, not a dealbreaker, but yeah it’s loud. The controls are simple and easy to use. On the front, there are four switches for power, one cup, two cup, and water/steam. All of them flip smoothly. On the side, there’s a turn dial for the steam wand to switch between steam and froth. Everything works exactly as it should without any confusion or hassle. It makes a genuinely great tasting shot of espresso, and the whole process is effortless. I don’t usually weigh my espresso shots, but I did on this one just to really put it to the test. With 18 grams of grounds it did produce 36 grams of espresso. So it is your basic 1:2 ratio, and the espresso tasted smooth and rich consistently. I did notice that even though it says 20 bars, it brews at about 9 bars, but that is normal. It basically has the ability for 20 bars so that it can always brew at 9 bars with no issues. It’s also not bulky at all, perfect for someone who wants a smaller machine without sacrificing functionality. One thing I really want to highlight is the value. At the current price of $89.99 (as of 12/3/25), it is honestly a really good price for how well this machine performs, simplicity, and the consistently great tasting espresso it makes. Overall, this is a great basic espresso machine for beginners or anyone who wants something simple, quick, and easy that still delivers a tasty espresso. Cute design, easy to use, works well, and for the right price, it’s a total win. Would absolutely recommend. ... show more
