Decent Starter Hand Auger, but with a cheap plastic blade cover. I have had two crack already where you attach the rubber on each end. Also on a few holes I had to go back down and go up and down a few times to fully open the holes at the bottom. Not sure why it happens . This is my first ice auger, and yesterday my first time ice fishing, so I don't have a basis to compare to other products, but I will say this worked better and easier than I expected. We had perhaps 6" of solid, clear, hard ice, and this chewed through it almost effortlessly, made a nice clean hole, and pulled the shavings up out of the hole while you turn it, so you can kick them aside and don't have to fish them out of the hole.
