  • It’s about convenience - not extra bells and whistles
Works great. Super easy to use. Picture quality is great, and I love the ability to see the video via local WiFi live on my iPhone. Works flawlessly with my Escort Redline 360c and minimizes cables and wiring everywhere. I have a 64gb micro SD card in it and it works fine (manual says max size 32gb). For everyone complaining about the price versus what other manufacturers offer, stop whining.... You are paying for the seamless integration with your Escort product, not for telemetry, g-sensors, gps, etc. If you want a radar detector with one cable, and another totally separate, bulky dash cam device with - by the way - its own, other cumbersome cable, then by all means, save your pennies and go with the other brands! If a seamless look and great picture quality with auto recording capabilities and WiFi to your phone for wireless video download/sharing is what you’re looking for... this camera is for you. My Escort Redline 360c is mounted to my rearview mirror via the Blend Mount kit, and I ordered the additional extend screw for about $5 from Blend Mount and installed the Escort M1 Camera to my existing Blend Mount. Very clean, super compact setup that looks great. I’m also hardwired via a mirror tap, so no wires hanging anywhere. So far, I’m loving this camera. Note: If you don’t already own an Escort radar detector and are looking at this as a standalone dash cam, this it is not for you. This is meant for existing Escort detector owners who want an add-on dash cam. ... show more

  • The Perfect Dash Cam Combo
This is a decent little camera that is as convenient as it gets if you are a Escort 360 Max radar detector user. The camera recording and quality may not be the greatest but it makes up for it as it’s convenient not having more wires or cables. You will need a top of the line 32gb memory card if you’d like to transfer videos via WiFi to phone as the one it comes with is absolute garbage. Really great convenient combo these two are paired together. ... show more

  • Good dash cam for Escort radar detectors, but overpriced
The wife and I have an Escort radar detector in each of our cars and while I have the Passport Max, she has the 9500ix. Both are rear view mirror mounted with BlendMounts. We've been wanting to get dash cams for a while, but we did not like dash cams with suction cup mounts and wires running everywhere. These M1s have the best integration to the radar detectors since they have a "pass through" power supply, but they are expensive for what you get. If you are looking for a more feature rich dash cam (GPS, telemetry, etc), skip this. But if you are looking for integration with your Escort radar detector, these can't be beat IMO. I was willing to pay a little more for the integration and clean setup, and had no need for the extra bells and whistles that other manufacturers offer. Camera recordings are pretty good to me, though the night vision could be a little better. I've been watching the price on these for some time, and the moment they went on sale for $30 off, I decided to take the plunge. They are easy to mount on the BlendMount, and you can get the M1 mounting kit add-on for about 5 bucks on their website. Super clean on the Passport Max. Now with the 9500ix, it's a different story... If you go to the manufacturer's website product page, they will tell you that the M1 is incompatible with the 9500ix and a few other older models. We're quite happy with the 9500ix so we don't really have a reason to upgrade. It was a pretty popular model a few years ago and I imagine lots of people still have them. Heck, you can still buy them as of today on Amazon or the Escort website. As far as I can tell, the only reason they are "incompatible" is because the power supply port on the 9500ix is on the left side of the radar detector while the newer models all have them on the right side. Escort limited the M1 to mount only on the right side of the radar detector because the power cord is ridiculously short (~2 inches). Now this could have easily been fixed if they had made the cord a little longer, or maybe include an optional extension cord. They're obviously trying to make people with older radar detectors spend more money and upgrade to a newer fancier model. So, to get around the M1's short cord limitation, I found a short RJ12 extension cord which works perfectly with the M1 and 9500ix. I've added some pictures of the setup. If you're stuck in a similar situation and don't want to buy a new expensive Escort radar detector, just get a short extension cord like I did. Search for "RJ12 Female to Male Cable" (or RJ11 they both work) on Amazon. If you're handy with a crimping tool, you could probably make your own extension cord with some old school telephone cords. ... show more

  • Love it as it saved me from a rear end accident
Very good quality product and easy to install with my Max 360 and I just recently was cutoff by an individual which in Illinois, if it was not for my dash cam I would be at fault. So it saved me an insurance claim as it proved that the person cut me off and there was no way for me to be able to stop in time after that. I just wish it had an automatic sensing option as that is really the biggest thing I get bugged by as if somewhere to hit me at the store, I would not able to go back and recover the video. ... show more

  • Wanted to like, feel very short of competition.
I decided to get a dash cam since I do a lot of NYC driving and felt it was good to have in case an incident were to occur. I really wanted to like this dash cam as I am an owner of Escort's Max 360. I love how it connected directly to it eliminating the need for extra cords but my dash cam had an issue with it's SD card and any SD card where it simply would record. I reached out to support and they guided me to no avail. This along with the lack of features for its price point such as motion sensor recording was huge for me. Additionally, the quality was only "Okay" and it produced extremely shaky video even with the smooth ride of my e-class mercedes. Ended up trying out the Vantrue N2 Pro which was the same price and it is such a better/more complete product. Video is amazing, silky smooth thanks to the mount no matter how bumpy the road, it offers a second camera, a built in screen, parking mode, and even basics such as speed overlays (need to buy a 20 dollar mount for gps). ... show more

  • Lots of great features!
The media could not be loaded. Awesome camera that’s easy to use! Love that it can connect to your phone, and has a lot of other cool features. I’d recommend buying it as a combo with the radar detector unless you’re like me and bought the detector alone before you realized they sold them as a combo. ... show more
