This coat arrived quickly and I was pleasantly surprised by its quality. You know how buying things on Amazon can be a roll of the dice—well this coat passes the test. It feels the same kind of quality as winter coats I’ve bought at Macy’s. It’s got the nice heat of a wool coat, and a good lining. It’s summer now, so I can’t really attest to it’s warmth during winter, but wearing it for short times now, it heats up fast. Love the color. It’s pretty close to what you see in the photos. I typically wear size L (10-12), off the rack, regular clothes. I ordered the coat in Large and it fits well. I can button all the buttons. It’s a little snug around my chest, but that’s normal for me. The buttons on mine seem fine, i don’t have the issue other reviewers reported about loose buttons, so that’s luck of the draw. I bought this coat for a Europe trip and it turned out to be my favorite purchase! It is very heavy and warm and I love it more than I expected. It did pill on the arms but in all fairness, I was really hard on it and it held up well considering. The little lint shavers from Amazon took the pilling off and the coat looked great again with minimal work. I am 5’6” 130lbs and ordered the small. This coat looked great belted or left open and went well with so many different scarves. The length was amazing and helped keep my legs warm when it got windy. The buttons are mediocre and I did loose one but that’s an easy fix. I am very happy with my purchase and will likely order another color soon. ... show more

This coat is AMAZING! Beautiful when out on the weekend, professional at the conference. SO warm,but not too heavy. Others have complained about the stand-up collar, but when the wind blows cold, TRUST ME, you will be thankful that your neck is covered. I stepped out of my car wearing the camel toned coat, and the compliments began before I reached the entrance of the venue, and continued after I stepped inside. This coat looks more expensive than it's price tag. I am 5' 8" and 200 lbs, small through the bust, but wide at the hips (pear-shaped) with long arms. I require a relaxed fit through the shoulders with no tightness if I stretch, and a loose fit at the hips, with LONG sleeves. I purchased a size 3x just to be on the safe side, and when I put it on with jeans,boots and a bulky sweater, there was no feeling of being "sqeezed," and it was not so big so as to look "sloppy,"just comfortable with a nice relaxed fit. The coat is made of like okay material but I got the largest size they had because I wanted longer sleeves. The sleeves are still very short. The buttons SUCK. 4 of them fell off the coat as I took it out of the plastic wrap immediately after I opened it. I’m going to look for better buttons that aren’t made out of cheap crappy plastic, and sew them to ACTUALLY function and stay on the coat. ... show more

update: I've had this coat for a few months now, and the buttons have all started coming really loose; one of the ones on the cuff completely detached. I have to spend a lot of money at the tailor getting all the buttons reinforced. In addition, it's starting to pile in some places, which points to cheap fabric. original review: As other reviews have said, this really is a beautiful coat. It's heavier than I expected, in a good way. I was imagining something rather flimsy for the price but was happily surprised. The color is a nice deep wine, not too much red, but I suppose that's a bit subjective. I'm 5'2" and the coat fits me nicely; the sleeves are just right. It hits me below the knee, but that's actually what I wanted. The one slight weakness is that the buttons aren't on all that securely, so I imagine in a few years I'll be bringing this to the alterations guy to have them tightened a bit, but the good thing is that you could just easily wear this as a wrap without having to fuss with the buttons much, so perhaps they'll last longer than I imagine. ... show more
