Ernie Ball welcomes its newest bass string set to the world-famous line of Slinky bass guitar strings. Hyper Slinky bass strings feature the same great bright and balanced tone that Slinkys are known for, in a new hybrid combination for 4-string players. Hyper Slinky Bass strings sit neatly between Super Slinky and Extra Slinky bass strings for a balanced feel across all 4 strings. This new gauge combination is ideal for players who prefer a moderate tension on the lower strings and lighter tension on the higher strings for added playability and snap. • Love these strings
Color: Hyper (40-100) Style: 4-String
OEM strings on my Sterling Stingray Ray34 were too heavy for me. These stings are perfect and sound great. Easy to play and the top string has plenty of low end. Will use these going forward.

I have these now on three of my basses; nice balanced tone, made in the USA and well packaged.

  • My new favorite for my P bass
Color: Hyper (40-100) Style: 4-String
After trying a number of strings for my precision bass I have found a keeper. The feel on these strings is considerably soft and smooth. Helps me keep my fretting hand nice and relaxed. The tone is surprisingly rich. Looking forward to trying them on my jazz bass.

  • Exactly what's on the tin.
Color: Hyper (40-100) Style: 4-String
What can I say? They fit, sound like new bright strings, and they're exactly the consistent quality expected from Ernie Ball. Sometimes a little rough on the edges, but very consistent.

  • Pretty lackluster bass strings
Color: Hyper (40-100) Style: 4-String
These strings sounded pretty good for the first 30 minutes I played them, but I’ve never had a pair of stings turn dead like a doornail as fast as these. You’d think being a lighter gage would make that new string twang last longer, but it took only around 3 days for these to sound like flatwounds. Do yourself a favor and get coated strings like Elixirs. Yeah, they’re spendy, but they stay bright for almost a year. Or, get a better quality set of strings like Rotosounds or DRs. These suck. ... show more
