Love the product. The actual use for this product that you intended for is being used as a filter for an exhaust vent on a Pelletizer in our facility. We needed something that we could reuse over and over again quickly. This product meets that need.

I got these strainer bags to use when I am making herbal hair rinses. It is not quite the same as brewing, but the technique is close enough that what works for brewing should work for the hair rinse. To test out the bags, I made my hair rinse tea by boiling a big pot of herbs and ground spices. I put one of these bags into an empty stock pot and poured the cooled mixture through it. To make that tea into my rinse, I need to strain everything out. In the past I had to use a colander to clear out all of the plant bits, and a canvas strainer bag to get the really small stuff like the ground spices. This bag strained out all of the larger plant pieces and didn’t soak up too much of the water from the tea. It did get a bit stained, but that was to be expected since there was turmeric in the mix and that stuff stains everything. The staining was just because of what I put in there so I am not counting that against them. Once I had squeezed out all of the plant bits I dumped the excess material and re-strained the mix to see if anything else would get caught by the bag. I found that it actually was able to strain some of the powdered spices out of the mixture which is really impressive. I thought that for sure with how big the holes look on it, there was no way that it could get so much of the smaller sized particles out. It did not get everything, and I had to use my canvas strainer bag after this one in order to get all of that extra powder out of my mix, these are genuinely good strainer bags and you get a few for the price so they are worth it. If I have one complaint with the bags it is mainly the weird way they decided to make them. Instead of putting the opening for the bags on one of the shorter edges, they put it on a long edge. Because of that, the bag doesn’t match up nicely with stock pots or buckets, or any piece of kitchen equipment that is taller than it is wide. you get all of these folds in the fabric and it is just normal as easy to use. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with the straining capabilities of these bags. Their design is pretty weird I am not sure why anyone would want their strainer bag to open up on the long end, but these are large enough that you can still use them as is. I will take a little odd over dysfunctional any day.

I wasn't sure if the Reusable Fine Mesh Straining Bags for Home Brewing could be used as nut milk bags, but I ordered these anyway. $16 for 5 large nut bags is a decent deal, if they work as nut milk bags. Spoiler alert - these bags work great for making almond milk. I like the larger size of these bags. I ordered the 18.5" x 15". The fine mesh is fine enough that I don't get any almond meal or debris in the bottom of my nut milk. The draw string cord and adjustable buckle are handy. I'm still on my first bag, and it's working great. Recommended.

Msstoodun 5pcs Brew Bags, Reusable Fine Mesh Straining Bag for Home Brewing, Durable Nylon Strainer Bag Easy to Use with Drawstring (18.5"×15") I used these bags for years when I was making mash whiskey. A great time saver. Rediscovered them when I started making cheese as sometimes you can't find the cheesecloth. Recently, I wanted to clean up a pile of foam ear plugs that I work or fly with. But I don't want them wandering loose in the washer. Bingo, plop them into the mesh bag - perfect. Large bag size will strain a five gallon brew pail easily. Well made. Two thumbs up.

I got this for a very odd reason - I got it for when I boil bones for bone broth. I always get a few extra turkeys when they're on sale so I can make them throughout the year. My favorite part though is being able to make a huge pot of broth with the carcass. One of my least favorite things though is making sure the broth is fully strained. These bags make it so much easier to separate out all the bones and stuff from my broth. The bags are really well made, no worries of seams falling apart or being easily ripped. Plus the fact that they can be washed and reused makes these a great deal.
