  • Best bass strings I have found
Color: Group 3 (45-100) Style: 4-String
I put these strings on all my basses after trying them on a Fender Pbass. They are so smooth. Great action and incredible sound. I put them on a Fender custom shop 55 Pbass. They give me the same growl and deep bass as round wound with the comfort and playability of flats. Love em.

  • Love the sound
Color: Group 5 (45-130) Style: 5-String
B,E,A,sound like bass....D,G not quite tone i wanted. strings are nice and smooth and tone is mellow. only thing for me is the tone of D,G strings not what i wanted. just matter of personal taste, not at all a quailty issue. all and all good strings.

  • Great Flatwound strings.
Color: Group 4 (40-95) Style: 4-String
I don't care for roundwound on my bass because they can be really noisy... The Flatwounds are superb to slide on without screeching.

  • I am really please with these strings
Color: Group 5 (45-130) Style: 5-String
I have installed these strings on both my Ibanez Electric/Acoustig Bass and my Washburn Electric Bass. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these string actually boosted the volume of the acoustic bass when not amplified and that I could play it unamplified in a small group. The string are satin smooth and very asy to play. I was warned the flat wounds are too mellow but I must say these string are crisp and feels like it requires less tesion to ge the same tone making it softer to play. ... show more

  • Great Quality, Pros & Cons, Not great with Rocksmith
Color: Group 3 (45-100) Style: 4-String
Ok, there are pro's and con's here, and its not the strings, it's me. First off these strings have a unique feel, a smooth matte surface, and they feel very durable. I play for fun with Rocksmith, and the normal bass strings have been hurting my fingers as I don't play enough to get calluses. I looked into getting flatwould or groundwound strings to help with this issue. These strings are smooth, however, now I have new issues that I didn't expect. Instead of the sandpaper feel of normal strings, these smooth strings burn my fingers (like a carpet burn) when sliding. This is probably due to the increased surface area touching your fingers using a flat string. I also noticed that my right hand is getting very tired plucking, I never had that issue with normal strings. It seems that it takes about twice the energy to pluck flat strings, probably again due to the increased surface area on the string surface. Also the flat strings have a different sound or tone than the normal strings, which I expected, the issue is that Rocksmith doesn't pick up the low notes as well on these strings making it harder to play the game. The strings sound great through my amp, the issues I am having are particular to my noob situation, and playing Rocksmith. I am still pretty new to playing bass, and to anyone else out there playing rocksmith I recommend sticking with normal strings. ... show more

  • My favorite strings
Color: Group 3 (45-100) Style: 4-String
Love these strings to death. Have the best feel on my fretless of all the others Iv tried. They also come in the lightest gauges iv yet been able to find which is great for my p bass with a tired truss Rod that can’t quite handle the tension of regular gauge flats.
