Put on low E- Broke at tuning peg without any tension that would get it near the correct note. I mean, the string was still floppy... Its like it was already broken under the wrap, and just let itself free when there was a tiny bit of pressure. Defective product. Not worth the risk as they are so pricy. Extremely disappointed. *edit Contacted Ernie Ball Customer Service. They sent me new strings in a week. Easy peasy. Very happy now. ... show more

They sound absolutely amazing for flats because of that brightness, but when installing the E string it started coming apart around at the 1st start of tension as seen in the picture. I managed to cut off the bad part and salvage the rest of it but it looks like it may continue to fail. I will add some heat shrink around it to hopefully help it last because these are almost impossible to find as singles. Hopefully this is just an isolated incident because I love the way they sound compared to standard flats. It would be awesome if Ernie ball would send me a flat wound cobalt .100 single wink wink nudge nudge ... show more
