  • Great Sound and Great Value
Size: 3-Pack Style: Medium Light (12-54)
These Ernie Ball Earthwood strings are my go-to for acoustic guitar. The 12–54 gauge strikes a perfect balance between rich tone and comfortable playability. They have a bright, crisp sound right out of the package and mellow nicely over time. The 3-pack is a solid value too — perfect for keeping extras on hand. Definitely recommend for acoustic players who want reliable tone without breaking the bank. ... show more

  • For rock and blues players - rejoice!
Size: Single Pack Style: Rock & Blues (10-52)
Electric guitar players will find that these strings are a quick tune up that allows your old acoustic guitar to be played much much much more like an electric guitar. Transforms the stiff acoustic into a softer playing instrument much more compatible with electric playing style. Also the sound of these rock / blues strings is a little different. The phosphor ones might sound a little soft, but the 80/20 bronze are distinctly brighter sounding on my guitars. My Yamaha parlor’ish csf1m crimson red small form acoustic guitar sounds great with these strings: bright, loud, clear, very musical. The csf1 crimson red is a little known jewel in the distinguished Yamaha acoustic line up. It also comes with a very high class sturdy Yamaha gig bag. Awesome gig bag. My Yamaha Ac3r stage acoustic is much larger and this also sounds great, bright, clear, and resonant with these strings and it feels a lot more like an electric with the nice profile Yamaha neck. Nice slim neck. It is a rocking combination, especially when amplified. Amplified these strings actually come into their own best realm where their characteristic feel comes into play. The sound is awesome, enhanced by the easy bendability and sensitivity. Unamplified the bronze version sound great to me during leisurely playing. I am accustomed to the sound and feel of these strings. These strings are extremely resistant to breaking under very very energy intense playing. Ernie Ball is known for making nearly unbreakable guitar strings. ... show more

  • Extra Light strings, I’m picking up my guitar way more often now!
Size: Single Pack Style: Extra Light (10-50)
This review is for the EXTRA LIGHT strings pack! Playing a guitar with stock strings HURTS! I was watching an interview with one of the guys from ZZ Top and he said that some of the best advice he got was from another legendary blues artist who told him he was working too hard and to get lighter strings! This sounded like just what I needed for my acoustic, my electric is pleasant to play because those strings are forgiving but the strings on my acoustic are painful! The most anxiety producing scenarios in life have to be public speaking, waiting for medical test results and switching out guitar strings! I was sweating installing these but they are really easy to wind all the way to standard tuning AND they stay in tune! They sound great. For some reason, musical instrument/guitar guys and audiophile gatekeepers like to take all the fun out of everything and over examine everything to death, notice I didn’t call them musicians 😂. You might hear that lighter strings will make you lose tone *cringe using that word* and your sound will be less robust but that is NOT true. The extra light strings sing and sound GREAT! I’m only using these for the rest of my time on planet earth! Happy playing! ... show more

  • Good strings, good price
Size: Single Pack Style: Extra Light (10-50)
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Overall nice strings with good sound quality. They seem to have more string talk than I am used to, but that could be me.

  • Good rock and roll acoustic strings
Size: Single Pack Style: Rock & Blues (10-52)
Great sounding strings. The unwound G is nice for hammering out some leads on acoustic!

  • Easier to play
Size: Single Pack Style: Extra Light (10-50)
I got these for one of my wife's acoustic guitars. I usually put 11s or 12s on mine, but she was having a little difficulty with the heavier string. They are much easier to press and have a light, bright sound. I will purchase these strings again.

  • Amazing guitar strings
Size: Single Pack Style: Extra Light (10-50)
Absolutely fantastic strings! Ernie Ball Earthwood Extra Light are the perfect choice for any acoustic player looking for effortless playability and a rich, warm tone. The extra light gauge makes fingerpicking and strumming feel smooth and easy, without sacrificing depth or clarity in the sound. These strings bring out the natural resonance of my guitar beautifully, with bright highs and balanced lows that work well across different genres. Plus, they hold up impressively over time, staying fresh and vibrant for longer than expected. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, they make every session enjoyable. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • I like these strings!
Size: 3-Pack Style: Extra Light (10-50)
Being an Ernie Ball fan to begin with, I figured these would be good light gauge strings for an acoustic. I do like the soft warm mellow tone of them, but they do lose crispness fairly quick due to the 80/20 Bronze composition, which an expected trade off to achieve the sound, so I change them fairly often to keep that great tone coming. They feel good while playing, and although it doesn't really matter, the gold color looks good in contrast with the darker color of my guitar! Good strings! A+++ ... show more
