I have used daddario and Ernie ball for years,, but in the last 10 years I really trust their Ernie strings they seem to last a long time even though I own five bases in three guitars they seem to last a long time and believe me I'm hard on my strings especially on my guitars I usually get 2 months to 3 months on them and my basis I use them most of them on a daily basis I get about 6 months to 8 months, as long as you have a quality string cleaner and fretboard oil and cleaner your strings will last a lot longer, especially with string cleaner you get all the crap out of your strings and it keeps them fresh and from getting tarnished or Rusty believe me I've seen them Rust it's not fun but I will be sticking with Ernie Ball for a very long time ... show more

Slinky's are my favorite bass string. They last i.e. stay brighter longer, sound great, and feel great. If you like the sound of stainless steel strings but don't want the abrasiveness, these are a great choice.
