Super easy to install, took only an hour at the end of the day. I'm not sure how other reviewers installed it but it feels very study, high quality, and great value for the price. Sure it may not be OEM or name brand quality like Yakima or Thule. However, these roof racks do the job. As one other reviewer suggested, I highly recommend buying better main screws (6M by 90mm). I bought 4 high quality Allen wrench screws from Home Depot to replace the ones provided. The included instructions were clear, the packaging was beat up but everything was intact and clean. I bought these for my 2010 Mazda 3 i-Touring sedan. It was a pretty straightforward installation. The direction booklet is a little off (doesn't reflect all of the pieces that come with it and they don't match the photos), but everything you need is there. You will need to remove your weather stripping window seals. At first, I thought the M6 screws and matching male-female coupling/standoff nuts did not fit with my car (the fit was tight at first and I didn't want to strip the thread by forcing it); however, I used a socket wrench which provided enough torque and it fits perfectly. Couple of notes, make sure the locks are set in the unlocked position putting the plastic cover on; otherwise, it won't go on and will break the plastic. Driving around with just the rack on, I do notice wind noise starting at 50mph but it's pretty quiet. It feels sturdy and I haven't loaded it up yet, but I'll report back once I actually put the luggage carrier on etc. ... show more

Highly disappointed, the bolts that come with are way too long even with the washers so when you add any weight to them the plastic bows out. The crossbars are very cheap and not sturdy at all to be honest so if your wanting to buy some to actually use don’t buy these. Great for just looks but I am not trusting these to use for transporting anything :( ... show more

Good rack but definitely needs work to make it functional. I had to get different bolts cause I think they used metric for size. Once I did that everything bolted into place fairly well. Now with that said there is a significant noise above 40-50 mph which gets worse as you go faster. I had to buy a wind deflector but finding the right one was tough because most of them make it difficult to use the rack AND have it on. So is it worth all this hassle for a roof rack? No probably not but I’m too stubborn to return it lol if you want to save yourself some headache just go get the oem one. I know it’s like $300 bucks more but honestly if you gonna have it for the life of the car it’s worth it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I used Amazon Auto to specify my exact vehicle type before ordering. I'm glad I spent a little more for this kit instead of buying a less expensive generic fit one. The kit that arrived was specifically for my vehicle. All of the parts and the crossbars were for my model vehicle. The bolts supplied were the correct size and no extensions were supplied/needed. The crossbars were the correct length, no cutting necessary. The installation took about a hour total. Short video and pics show the finished install to give a feel for the kit. ... show more

Seems funcional and does not create a lot of wind noise, but the quality control is lacking. Had to cut one bar to fit the car (as others have experienced) which is not fun if you don't really have the right tools. The design allows for the bar to be a little short but it's not possible to install when it's too long. Also found a defect in the paint after I took off all the protective tape but I assume I can't send it back since I already cut off that excess length. It's ok for the price but probably should have just paid the extra for a better brand. ... show more

I bought this for my 2013 mazda 3 I sport sedan. It was relatively easy to install and only took about an hour. There are a few things that will make installation easier. I initially had a hard time getting the ends on the crossbars but I ended up loosening the screw and pushing the back plate a little, which allowed the bar to slide in easier. Make are you tighten the screw once you get the bar in. There were also extra pieces with no instructions on what they were for. I figured out that they screw in to the mounting points on my car so the screws could go into them. Otherwise the screws were a little too short. Overall, it was easy enough to install and it's sturdy so it beats paying $300+ for a different set of crossbars. Edit: The screw extenders snapped the first time I loaded a kayak. Do yourself a favor and go hardware store and get one solid screw that's long enough. Home Depot has limited metric sizes and didn't have one long enough. I found one that fit at True Value, it was a 6mm thread and 90mm length. Despite the cheap bolts, this thing is still a great deal. I've been using it for months with the new bolts and have had no issues. ... show more
