As a 55 year old former triathlete, track, cyclocross, and road bike racer, I have had several major brand racks on several cars. I have also sold Thule, Yakima, and Performance racks when I worked as a bike mechanic. This is a FANTASTIC value: a solid set of wing shaped aluminum bars, rock solid mountings brackets, the option of standard track nut/bolt mounting, AND includes a set of lock cores! A good set of instructions and one of the easiest installations I have ever done on any car (in this case, my KIA Niro.) It also does not block the sunroof and is not very noisy, even directly over the open sunroof. The track gasket is a rubber tube, so track nuts or bolts can slide in and out without cutting the gasket. This should be the wholesale price. This is made in Turkey to European Union standards and it shows in the build quality.

This rack is sturdy and fits my vehicle just fine. The rails are solid aluminum and seem plenty strong. But the mounting feet and the locking covers are plastic, and the covers are thin. A thief would need to arrive with the right size of Allen wrench, but if they were that prepared they would probably also have a heavy screwdriver that they could use to pry off the lock cover. Or a battery-operated drill would quickly destroy the thin piece of plastic that covers the mounting screw when it's locked. So as long as you don't plan to leave the car overnight with valuable stuff on the rack (e.g. in a travel box) you'll be fine. It works for my needs, and it's WAY cheaper than a $600 Thule setup. But you definitely get what you pay for. Some assembly advice: the instructions are mostly clear but one of the steps says to tighten "the" screw when there are four to choose from. It turns out that the vertical screws hold things together; the horizontal ones are used for mounting. I decided to take one of the feet apart so I could see how things are put together and how it works. It's super-important that the "other" horizontal screw (the top left or top right) is completely loose before you try to put the thing together. That screw operates a wedge that jams the rail into the foot, so you need it loose or you won't be able to put the foot on the rail. I also found it well worthwhile to use a light grease on all the parts that slide (including inside the rail) because it's a really tight fit. If you run into a hard stop when you're putting the foot on, it might be because the bottom of the rail hit the edge of the foot. Make sure you don't lose the rubber pads on the feet; they like to come off. Finally, after I fitted the rails to the car and before I tightened the jamming screw, I noticed that the rail had bowed up a bit. I whacked it with my fist and it popped into place. After that, all was good.

These fit well. There is some room for the bars to slide in the holders, but that's normal. The instructions are well written, just make sure to follow them. It's easier to get the bars straight if you have 2 people, but you can easily do it by yourself. These supported an 8 foot ladder and some landscape timbers.

My OEM rails were virtually silent but damaged. Replaced with these and they are super noisy. Needed to spent $30 to mail them back. Spend the extra money on OEM.
