I ordered this belt on a whim the day after my husband's double-hernia repair. He came home with an enormous white stretchy compression belt from the surgery center, and was told he needed to wear it for a month (!) to aid in his recovery. That little detail definitely wasn't in the 'so you need a hernia repair' brochure..... Anyhoo, he was complaining quite a bit about that compression garment digging into him and being oppressively uncomfy, so wifey hopped onto Amazon and saw this item and poof, 24 hours later it was on our doorstep. GAME CHANGER, folks! The fit is totally customizable, and he actually felt more supported with this belt than the one the surgical team issued him. Material is soft and doesn't chafe (a big deal with him having to wear this thing almost non-stop). Highly recommend!

This is my second purchase of this brace, as my last one was getting a bit worn. It has very good support and is comfortable, though after some months of every day use, it starts to lose some of the comfort. I found that, after a number of months of daily wear, as the elastic starts to stretch out a bit (which is going to happen with any elastic-based brace like this) the additional plastic support rails started to dig in to my back/sides a little bit and irritate the skin, which is why I bought a new one. It's totally worth having those extra rails in their for the additional support they offer, so when the old one got worn i didn't hesitate to buy this same product again. Any of these braces can get uncomfortable after a period of heavy use. And I'm still keeping the old one as a spare.

I am not one to sit down and write a review. So this is a must read review. If you don’t have time to read it all, just buy this product! I have been a hernia sufferer for years. I get them removed and it’s not long before they come back. I’ve had several intestinal issues and surgeries. That being said, i have spent years depressed because my hernia is always a bother. I just sat down one day and wondered if there was such a thing as a hernia belt. And low and behold, i found this (others too) but i liked the reviews of this one. That being said, i just got it yesterday. Wore it the whole day and for once.....had the best night sleep EVER. I just got back from shopping, didn’t wear it. Before anything else i put it back on and sat down to write this. It truly is amazing. Gives you that comfort of not needing to constantly hold your stomach. Is it comfortable, yes! You know you’re wearing it but it is not bulking and uncomfortable. The material is not stiff so even with my arthritis, i can pull it to wear i need it. I’m ashamed at all the doctors I’ve visited and never once did one mention this kind of thing. It’s truly heaven sent and changed my life. Just in 24 hours. I’m just a regular girl no ties to this company. Sincerely putting this out there for those that have suffered as i have, hoping to get you relief. Just buy it. You too will be sitting down in 24 hours to write a review. So thankful to have found this. Ps. It came next day too. That was awesome Update: weeks later, I’m still in awe of this belt. I have ordered this belt 3x over 2 years. I have an umbilical hernia and I have been denied surgery for it. I order new belts every 9-10 months, as the material gets bunched and warped over time, which is to be expected. The last belt I purchased LOOKED the same as the previous belts, but the material was different, much stiffer. This belt poked and prodded me, scratched my skin and was somehow less supportive even though the material had way less give. I usually allow for a two-week break-in period, but this was unwearable, even after multiple adjustments. I am disappointed because now I have to start this trial-and-error proccess all over again with a different company. I wish places would just stay consistant.

Bought this for support after a ventral hernia surgery. Liked that it appeared to be shaped to fit. And, it does fit. Very easy to use. Surgeon said 24 hours a day for the first three days, then all day while I was up for six weeks. This worked perfectly. Did start using an old elastic back support while sleeping to help at night. Actually bought a second one of these so I could wear one while the other was in the laundry. Very happy with this.

I already had one surgery for Umbilical Hernia and didn't want to have to have another. I bought this thing to assist he holding back my Diastasis Recti (thats when an old guys stomach pops out when he is trying to exercise and do chin ups or sit ups) that popping out can cause another Umbilical Hernia. Plus further damage the stomach. This belt will not support even .01% on larger stronger type male. Its only a cheapo thermal belt This Ergonomic Umbilical Hernia Belt – Abdominal Binder for Hernia Support is extremely weak, it will not hold back my stomach in the slightest, its way too stretchy. The description used the word rigid, that is a big lie. Its no better than what you can buy cheaper at Academy . And FYI that guy in the picture must me 5 foot 2 because even largest one they sell will not cover the whole belly I did find some use for by wearing in while I slept, there is actually a small benefit from that. However, it does not work if you are moving around, its too cheezey weak and stretches with the slightest pressure rendering it useless
