**************UPDATE 5/30/2020***************** still 5 stars two years later! I’m updating my review since I came back to buy more of these chairs. They’re still significantly smaller than my other chairs, but it has held up quite well. The fabric still looks fairly new (no pilling or rips etc) and no issues with the wheels or seat’s ability to adjust height. I had originally bought this chair for $33 and now it’s $49! I think the $33 was reasonable, but I think $49 is too expensive. 5 stars for the chair. But the price now is too high that I won’t buy it again. **************UPDATE 6/2/2019***************** 5 stars!!! So I returned all chairs except for 1 (since I had opened and used that one). Strangely enough, a lot of the girls in the office seem to PREFER this small chair! I was kind of surprised! They said they like that it’s easy to roll around in the office front desk area, has a small profile so the chair doesn’t bump into things/counters all the time, and that it’s pretty comfortable. What I thought was bad (it’s significantly smaller size and footprint) ended up being what my receptionists like! Note - I have 2-3 women (sometimes 3-4 if we’re doing employee training) sitting in an enclosed front desk area (roughly 8’ x 8’) of a dental office. So this little chair is getting good use AND it has held up magnificently with all the wear and tear that we put it through. It looks the same as the day I assembled it! And no one has fallen off of it due to size or rolley-ness. So I change my review to 5 stars! (But I’ll keep it actually a 1 star review so folks can find it more easily). ******************************************* ORIGINAL REVIEW Great for young kids or adults with extremely small butts. This chair is SMALL. I'm 5'7" and 125 lbs and my pant size is 2 or 4....and when I sat in this chair, but butt covers the ENTIRE seat and kind of hangs off the sides a little bit as well. I am not a large person and I felt like this chair was just way too small. I bought 3 of these for my office. I assembled one of them and used it for 4 hours. Did my butt and back die from pain? No. Was I able to do my work? Yes. Was I super comfortable? Not really. When placed next to my old office chair (which was getting kind of beat up which is why I wanted to replace it), this chair just looks tiny. The footprint of the wheeled base is so much smaller than my old chair - just doesn't seem stable. But, to be honest, I did wheel around and the wheels are smooth and I didn't fall over from instability, but it just looks so small and narrow. I am returning all chairs.

If you are buying this chair and you are going to be sitting on it for more than 15 minutes at a time, do not buy this chair. It is durable but it is absolutely back-breaking. This is as bad as a chair can be. I learned a lesson through this. It does NOT have the rocking movement. It is fixed. There is absolutely no flexibility that adjusts to your sitting position. Do NOT expect any comfort from sitting on this chair, unless you have been standing for 12 hours without sitting.

As I write this the chair is only $35. I assume the price will rise over time. Ease of assembly: A+ Fast and easy, large instruction sheet, they give you one more of every screw than you need. Extras! Comfort: A+ The back does not feel like it is held away from you. The back snugs up against you. The back is solidly bolted to the seat with 6 strong hardened 6x18 and 6x25 screws (hex head with hex drive hole. A key wrench is included, it is a good quality little wrench). Neither the wrench nor the bolt will strip, good steel. Light weight. Rolls smoothly and easily. The power cartridge to raise and lower is adequate, not first class. Not a big deal, but could be better. The padding is not first rate. A first rate padding will cost more than this $35 chair. Hint: use a pillow on the chair, problem solved. You won't need a pillow behind you to support your back. The back is contoured to fit into the small of your back. I've never felt a more comfortable back rest on a chair. Our leather tufted living room couch cost us $4000. This $35 chair is more comfortable. Not nearly as luxurious looking nor feeling but it fits the human anatomy better. If I had to sit for hours in a meeting, I would prefer this chair over most others. Except it doesn't look like something for a richly appointed office. It's a good basic chair. I don't plan to ever get rid of it, unless it fails several years from now. The light weight and smaller width (side to side) and smaller length (front to back) makes it perfect for tight places. Where's there's lots of room you may want something larger.

An economical chair for my desk. Not too cheap, but not highest quality either. Will last if you don't have children, like a responsible college student needing a chair. Should last me a few years! The chair is comfortable overall. The seat isn't hard, the back is good for posture and the arms are nice but make it difficult to sit in some positions since the chair isn't all that large. It's not a chair for relaxing in or gaming, but for doing something like typing, web browsing, etc for a couple hours it's great! It only allows you to tilt backwards a little. The only thing I don't like is the pads on the arm rests are scratchy. Oh yeah, and it rolls well on our cheap apartment carpeting, but I don't know how well it would roll on more plush carpet without a mat. Oh yes, and easy to put together! I did it myself in about 10 or so minutes. Just an update here, it's now June 2017 and the chair is still in perfect condition at my desk. No rips, tears or broken parts!
