In the very beginning, I would've been better off with a U shaped cushion because the divots in this weren't deep enough, but this pad got me through the recovery well enough. I had a surgery on my lower back and wasn't able sit up for long or at all for a while. This pillow released some pain or tension on my back and helped me get back to work. I ended up.taking it to work as well. And I noticed my back hurts less in general. However, I keep sliding down and have to readjust every 10-15 mins. Not sure how to fix that lol ... show more

I've lost a lot of weight and now am intimately familiar with my tailbone. This pillow helps decrease the pain of sitting. And it has kept its shape after LOTS of hours of being sat on or reclined in. I don't like the color--black--but it wouldn't make sense to manufacture a white one, I guess. My only other change would be its depth; I'd prefer that it be an inch higher and then no part of my backbone would touch down. I'd recommend it to anyone with a painful tailbone and/or with hemorrhoids. It's NOT soft and squishy, and it shouldn't be; it needs to be sturdy . . . and it is. ... show more

    • The best donut cushion for my tailbone pain thus far.

I've tried a number of donut cushions, and this one has been the best. Its super soft, but yet supportive, and the ridges in the front and back give even more room for tailbone and related issues. My only complaint would be that the size of the hole part being slightly larger, or maybe the ridge in the front being a bit bigger...might help for a guy. As I have to sit up and reposition myself occasoinally, so getting a donut cushion that fits you and your health or medical issues perfectly...can be a challenge. But its a minor gripe as i can reposition myself, and each person may have individual specifications that might fit them perfectly, vs just repositioning yourself sometimes, so overall its very comfortable and by far the best donut cushion for tailbone pain I have tried. Extremely happy with it, and if you have any seating issue....I strongly recommend getting this cushion. Its worth it. ... show more
