There are 2 main issues that seem to affect this, in my opinion. Limited range, and limited battery life, which is pretty limited to 8 hours (limited for something like this, anyway). It's my belief that the small battery necessitates a lower transmit power to keep battery life reasonable. A bigger battery would give better capacity and thus more available power to increase Tx output. It's probably why they offer this with a solar panel as well. But as it stands now, once you reach a certain point (which is affected by line of sight somewhat) it'll start to drop out, simply because it doesn't transmit that far. One thing I find odd is the complete lack of reviews at the Play Store, despite 1000+ downloads. If you're close enough it works ok, but the less between you and it, the better. And keep the 8 hour battery life in mind. I would honestly recommend trying the solar version instead of this, because then at least you wouldn't have to stop and charge this if you're on a long haul. But if all you do are short hauls with short trailers, this version might work for you. I suggest making sure you get a good signal by trying it when you get it.

We don't travel far with the horses, mainly to our local arena for barrel racing. This trailer camera was very easy to setup and figure out how to use. It's definitely a peace of mind to have this while we are on the road. Very good picture quality. Works awesome for our needs.
