  • Connectivity: Hi-Speed USB 2.0. This energy-efficient scanner has Epson's ReadyScan LED technology which enables the unit to operate without having to warm-up prior to use, with faster scans and lower power consumption.
  • The Perfection V600 has four customizable buttons to make scanning, copying, creating e-mail attachments and PDF files quick and easy. Scanning Times and general comments
I am going through slides and negatives, 35mm and Medium format from my dad's past life starting from the 1960s. So it's A LOT. You will need A LOT of time on your hands and a very understanding family if you need to save all these memories that you have probably never ever seen before. I am using a high end spec Alienware notebook from 2015 to do this. I have gone through the trouble to time how long it takes to scan 35mm slides in different settings. 4 35mm Slides Scan for Positive 4800dpi 48bit Color Correction w/ ICE: 10min 29sec w/ Medium Dust Removal: 5min 44sec w/o Dust Removal: 5min 41sec Those Kodak slides from way back then will have dust in them if not growing on them. The Epson software dust removal is NOTHING. It's pretty much just like w/o dust removal. It's a worthless setting. Grain Reduction is noticeable but not by much. Color Restoration setting is like magic. Those old slides will have tinted to a magenta color by now, so you'll need that. Digital ICE Technology setting, now that makes a HUGE difference. Those dust specs disappear completely. I recommend this setting if you have the time. 60 slide magazine, 4 slides at a time, will take you 157.5minutes if you were a robot. 2hrs, 37.5min a magazine. I purchased an Amazon Recertified one of these and it works great! If you have an understanding family or a lot of spare time, I recommend this. If you don't then just get one of those $150 toys that you just push a slide in and press a button like a conveyor belt. Or pay someone or a company to scan them in for you. ... show more

Junk!
Junk! This V600 deserves a rating below zero. The scanner completely died after using it 3 times within weeks of the purchase. Epson said that the scanner had been originally purchased five years before I bought it so that it had no warranty. So the sale was shady. I could not get a replacement or a refund because it was sold by a third-party. Buyer beware of a scam. I wish I could get this purchase zero or negative stars. ... show more

A great scanner. Hard to find !
While the packing was a mess, THIS Scanner is absolutely amazing. The quality is great. The high resolution scanning is superb. Be advised....... Epson stopped making this scanner a year ago. If you can find one grab it.

It works for what I need
Since my recently mother died I have been trying to bring sense out of chaos of family documents going back at least 130 years. This is very good and easy to use for slides, photos and postcards. However, it is only okay for documents. I have to put a piece of black cardstock cardboard behind all the back sides of photos with writing on them and do the same for the back side of all postcards if I want to copy them. It would be nice if the panel on the lid had a black side so this was unnecessary, ... show more

A Very Solid Machine
If you have a bunch of old negatives and color slides sitting around, gathering dust, slowly decaying, the V600 is the answer to your question. Very easy to use, extremely versatile, takes up little space, and is quiet. I should have gotten it years ago.

Defective broken product
Purchased this early as a Father’s Day present for my husband. He opened it to use on Father’s Day. The scanner didn’t move. Took it to Best Buy to see if it was something we were doing wrong. They said it was defective. Seller won’t replace or refund.
