I purchased this Epson color printer/copier/scanner/fax machine based on it's features, price for replacement supplies, the 2 year free ink promo and it's cosmetic appearance with large color LCD display/control panel. So far it's a winner in all of these categories. Easy to set up. I placed it on a mobile file cabinet so I could wheel it out if I needed to work on the printer as well as have a place for additional ink and paper. The printer is very fast when using an ethernet connection as opposed to wireless. Wireless works fine but the printer is noticeably slower. Color rendering is incredible. Not sure what some of the negative reviewers are talking about but I'm 100% satisfied and highly recommend. ... show more

My family owns a group of private ship and mailing centers. We utilize this printer as our main printer at both locations. We love the ink, the print quality is excellent for 99% of needs, and it is a reliable workhorse. We especially enjoy the automatic 2-sided copy speed, scan to SharePoint features, the top feeder, and the dual adjustable paper trays. It does everything our $12,000 MFC copy machine did, but this Epson does it faster, cheaper, and in a much smaller footprint. ... show more

This printer is the perfect printer for small to mid-size businesses. I purchased this printer for my work. I am an event coordinator at an outdoor shooting club, and I print LOTS of event contracts on a daily basis. We were constantly buying ink cartridges for our previous printer and as you may know, ink is expensive. Key Features I LOVE: Exceptionally low running costs, Two years of unlimited ink, Great print quality, Two-year warranty with registration This printer arrived quick! I ordered it on a Wednesday and received it on Thursday - less than 24 hours later!! The set up was super quick and easy! I like that you can connect up to 8 mobile devices so you can print directly from your phone. You have many different options for connecting - Wireless, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB. Heed the warnings seen in the other negative reviews. You're not getting anything usable when it comes to print quality. I need to print flyers for work and the quality was just not there. Only got worse after cleaning and tuning the machine through the in-built maintenance settings. There is no ability to select the resolution you print in, only presented with "Good" or "Best" quality options. The paper tray does not feed paper in straight, so if you need photos aligned front and back on a page like I do, you're way out of luck. This is advertised as a business printer, but preforms as a $150 printer in quality, and that's generous. It completely lacks the features and reliability that you would expect from a business-oriented printer. The only pro that I can think of is that it printed fast, wasting my paper in record time! It really is no wonder that they have to give you your first two years of ink for free, as the ultra-low operating expenses of the printer is what sold me despite the negative reviews. Don't Make the same mistake that I did. If you need it for anything above basic printing recipes at home, avoid this like the plague. On that note, If you are the type to only print out recipes at home, there are significantly cheaper options that would print better. Don't buy this product. ... show more

    • Great printer / scanner but some problems in feature description and Epson way too nosey

Pro: Extremely clear, easy setup. Well thought out instructions. Firmware, driver, system stuff comes on a CD. My notebook does not have a CD, but setup utility available on line and works fine. Physically smaller and lighter than the Brother MFC color laser it replaces. Print is terrific, including a color photo taken with a cell phone and printed on ordinary copy paper. Edge to edge was perfect. In about an hour you can put together, load and charge ink, get the install package and install, update firmware, load ink: ready to go. Someone reviewed earlier about the ink discharge tank not being available anywhere; not true. $20 or so right on Amazon or at Epson. When the time comes I'm going to try to empty and rinse it out. Not a single molecule of ink mess in setup, load, charge, disposal. Con: Epson requires complete address, email address, phone number, type of business, etc.; just way too nosey for me. All this just to register the machine. System features, such as scan to email, require registering all this information to their system; I feel like this is a Big Brother machine. All this gets Epson too much in my business. Also, note that "two-sided scan and print" is not the same as Duplex. These are done by dealing with one side, then snatching the paper back, flipping it, then doing it again. I can understand for two-sided printing (not gonna be a top and bottom print head) but the Brother duplex scanning was fast as the paper just ran right out, scanned on both sides in one pass, but not so here. This make two sided scanning very slow and a lot is going on mechanically inside; how will that effect lifetime? Four stars now; will update in a few months if better or worse. ... show more
