I had previously bought Canon and several Brother printers. The Canon ink was too expensive, the Brother printers seem to only last about 2 years. I figured id give a different company a chance this time around. I always buy ink in bulk, and when my Brother printer went out I couldn't find another printer to fit the ink I had leftover. I actually bought two of these Epson printer 212XL and of course more additional aftermarket ink. The printer itself was very easy to setup, id say about 10 min to install ink, download latest drivers and get Wi-Fi going. Print quality seems very good so far.     • Buy ink with the printer!
I know ink comes with the printer but for some reason the ink they send drains so quickly and my black wouldnt even work. But i bout Espon 212 bundle of ink (which is about $40 as of March 2022) and those inks are working fine. Idk if its because its the first time the printer is used or the ink is just damaged in shipping but buy ink now you'll thank yourself later. Once the ink is replaced it went pretty smoothly and i love the color quality and the auto double sided printing and the price. ... show more

    • Doesn’t work when I need it to work
It prints fine, when it actually prints. The wireless connection usually has issues and is not connected. My previous printer (Brother) did not have any wireless connection issues. Typing in my complicated password is worse than one of the first Nokia texting. Powering off and back on takes a very long time. It doesn’t copy multiple papers through the paper feed. One has to use the scanner for each individual copy. 👎🏽 ... show more

    • Connectivity Issues and Paper Skewing
Works pretty well, but has issues connecting at times even though my internet works well with everything else and had no issues with my last printer, and paper will sometimes skew in the printer even though I have the guides right against the edges in the back.

    • Printing whir sounds way more expensive then it is.
Setup was easy, except the agonizing chore of putting your router PW into that tiny screen. HINT! Try and get it right the first time. I really like the old school way of having the paper feed standing up in the back. If you are printing something like one check at a time, or jobs of that type, it’s way better than the tray system. ... show more

Our previous Epson stopped working and bought this one to replace it. So far so good. I haven’t used it a lot yet. It was easy to set up and the print quality is good.
