  • Impressed, so far...
Size: 100A 200V MT50
Bought two recently. EPEVER 100 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller 200V . Running them hard, up to 90 + Amps they're doing very well. Laying on their back with a Laptop Cooling Pad under each works very nice. One was missing the RJ47 cable, not a big deal. They get pretty Hot I'd suggest a small helper fan mounted in any configuration. 18 Newpowa 210 watts on one, & 16 Richsolar 200 watt on the other. The Newpowas have a much lower Voltage and work a little better if you can deliver the extra Amps. The 200 watt Richsolar ran the Voltage over with more than 16 of them. Never had to call Tech Support, they're working as well as the smaller 40s did.. ... show more

  • nice product.
Size: 60A 150V MT50
I recently purchased this item and as I was installing it the plus and negative cables where crossed and I blew the fuse, thank God that is all that happened, but trying to get in touch with vendor is in my word useless, I called the number listed in contact us and first it was not in service then voice box was not set up, so I emailed them but only time will tell if they answer, will update review when I get an answer. This is my update; they did get back to me and they wanted to know which fuse and I told them, and they had it but did not tell me if it was covered under warranty and or how much they were, so I bought some online now the once I got where 80-amp 32 volt and not the once stated in the manual, now I have found a place you can order them from if it happens to anyone I now have purchased the correct once from Digi-Key 60 amp fuse is part # 142.5631.5802, 150 amp fuse part # 142.5631.6152 all are 58 volt, I hope this helps. ... show more

  • Impressive performance
Size: 100A 200V MT50
A solid unit with no fans, it is totally silent. MPPT solar performance is impressive. The PC software is good, although it is a bit tricky to get the serial to USB connection to work.

  • WARNING! BUYER BEWARE OF THIS SELLER.
Updated 6-11-2021 So after FINALLY getting a warranty replacement and getting it installed, it worked fine for about a month. NOW its overcharging my batteries. The battery type is set to USER, the Charging Limit Voltage is set to 27.8v and the Over Voltage Disconnect is set to 27.9v. The charger is blowing RIGHT past these two settings and pushing the charge voltage to well beyond 28.3v+. I have to manually trip the incoming breaker to shut the power down from the panels to keep this thing from setting my Lithium Ion batteries on fire. I get more and more frustrated with this charge controller and company by the day. UPDATED: 05-01-2021 The product is 'ok' when its working but this seller is a fraud. After about 4 months, the comms board inside went bad and I could no longer program or monitor the charge controllers status. After several exchanged with the factory, they confirmed that the charge controller was the issue and told me to contact the seller for a warranty replacement. After emailing this guy several times I was assured that he was 'just waiting on a warranty replacement from China' even though he had others for sale on Amazon. He simply waited out the Amazon complaint window then went dark and hasn't responded since. Now here I am at 11 months and the charge controller has 100% failed. The product isn't terrible, but expect failure and expect NO help from this vendor. CAVEAT EMPTOR. ... show more

  • Great Value
I've been using these charge controllers for a few years now. They are extremely awesome. I've worked with midnite solars, and Outbacks. They have cooling fans built in and all the info is in the unit themselves. But I have to say, if you buy the mt50 box with these units, it's so much easier to use than either of the other brands. The only downside, it doesn't have an equalize setting. If you want to equalize you have to tell the controller that it is the 28th day of the month. But that's not really a downside, because if your system is running correctly a once a month equalize is perfectly fine. ... show more

  • Works right out of the box, and seems to have flexibility to meet changing needs
Size: 60A 150V MT50
This is my first attempt at putting together a solar system. I have some off grid property that it would be too expensive to bring grid power to. I have a well on the property, and I put a Truhorse DC submersible pump in it. I ran the pump directly from two of my four 285 watt Trina solar panels, but decided it was time to move to a more flexible solution. After some research I picked the EPEVER MPPT Solar Charge Controller 60A. The open circuit amps on the Trina Panels is 12 amps or 4 * 12 gives 48 amps total so 60 amps should provide ample head room. I bought 6 AGM 12 volt 100 amp batteries wired in series and parallel to make a 24 volt system. Plugged i the EPEVER and solar panels to batteries and it just worked. I am now adding 2 more AGM 12 volt 100 amp hour batteries and rewiring it into a 48 volt system. The EPEver supports that as well with out changes. I have a lot to learn and I have not run the system I have put together has not passed the test of time, but at this time I have a very high opinion of the job that the EPEVER is doing for me. ... show more
