Color: MicroSD Card
Over the past ten years, I've had four FDM printers and three resin printers. So far, with a dozen prints in the past week, this printer resets the bar for all of them. It really does "just work", and works beautifully. At first, I thought this printer looked glossy and cheap, more form than function, a "Toy" rather than a "Tool". Instead, I've found it to be toy and tool, form and function, friendly and inexpensive. It feels like it belongs in your kitchen or office more than in your garage or shop. I print buildings & scenery for tabletop RPGs, and this thing excels at that. What it DOES: Small things. Quick starts. Precise details. Sharp edges. Clean rafts. Impossible bridges. Precarious overhangs. What it DOESN'T do: Big things (max 10x10x10cm). Wi-fi (I don't care, but the 2S has that if you do). Light (the 2S has that, too, but a handy flashlight is fine). Full-size spools (see below). Heated bed (PLA, no ABS, but again, the 2S has that). Frustrate. Waste time. Waste Money. Waste Desk Space. Fail (see below). Seriously, I've had to stop three prints because they had really small parts that detached from the bed, and a quick swipe of glue stick fixed the problem every time. Look up "3d print glue stick" here, Amazon has a million of them. It has a hook for holding small (100g) spools, but it's too small for regular kilogram spools. Look up "3d print spool roller", Amazon has a million of them like the one in the picture. For me, 3D printing is fun again, because It Just Works. ... show more

  • Amazing for beginners
Color: Wi-Fi/MicroSD Card/USB
I’ve had this about a month now and I am so happy with it. I will say the wifi is an absolute pain to stay connected and the app doesn’t work well so save the extra money and just get the one without wifi. The micro sd is very accessible and easy to use. The upside is it’s a great starter 3D printer. It’s ready to go out of the box with only a few minutes of setup. It doesn’t hold large filament spools but they have an external one that works great. The slicing software is pretty much preset for work out of the box. There are several support options and you can learn to customize your prints. The only downside is I can’t find a switch to default button so remember what changes you make. It doesn’t print large and doesn’t have the detail for super small so you have a small range to work with. Basically I got 3D Cults files and shrank them down at first to get a good size range and learn about how the adjustments work and best plating. The heated bed is a must have for 3D printers and this has it all. I’ve spent hours now making files, printing and painting. It is just the absolute best for learning on. I returned my prior ones because one didn’t have a heated bed and the filament didn’t stick and the other didn’t have auto leveling and after one print started digging into the board. Also, do a leveling regularly so it avoids digging into the board. It auto levels but you have to tell it to. After awhile of learning the basics I’m going to upgrade but honestly this printer is hands down the best thing to hit the market for starters. It’s affordable, works great, ready to go out of the box but doesn’t limit your ability to customize. Plus it is enclosed so no need for an extra purchase or a cover. Amazing!! ... show more

  • Perfect beginner printer
Color: Wi-Fi/MicroSD Card/USB
The printer itself is perfectly fine. It prints like it should, and set up is easy as plug in and load the filament. The app it’s partnered with is trash lol I believe it has a 1 star rating in the App Store. Took a while to set up, kept getting errors, and it logged me out and I couldn’t get back in for 2 days (assuming it was a server issue since it was Xmas morning I tried setting up). Once I got it running I noticed a few models on the app do not print right, had to cancel 10 minutes in because it didn’t print a base on half of the models and the filament just strung around. It comes with 8-10 pre loaded models on a micro as card, and they print excellent. You get what you pay for, overall I am satisfied for a $200 printer. My 10 year old loves it! ... show more

TO LOVE.... How compact it is. I didn't have much space available, with 2 other printers and a wash and cure station. This little thing fit perfectly in the limited space I had left. It's very user friendly, pretty much no assembly required--it really is just plug and play. For simple prints, that's all there is to it. No stressing over assembly and trying to make sure every part is perfectly positioned and every belt is adjusted to the perfect tension. None of that trying get bed leveling perfect--it does that for you. And all of that with such a budget-friendly price tag, too. Some 2D printers are the same price, or even more. NOT TO LOVE... All that said, 3D printing is still 3D printing. Which is to say that even the most beginner friendly printers such this one still won't tell you if a setting is going to mess up your print. You still need to know what you're doing. The Tina 2S in particular, seems to have rather faulty firmware when it comes to pausing and resuming prints. If you need to pause your print, do not use the printer firmware. The extruder will not return to its original position, resulting in missing or misaligned layers. Instead, you need to use your slicer to pre-program the pause and override the printer firmware. Cura 5.4 does this quite well. Overall, it's a great little printer if you only need small prints and don't want to spend too much. It's also great for newcomers to the hobby, requiring little setup work. ... show more
