  • Amazing 3D printer for kids and beginners!!!
Model: TINA2S v10
I purchased this for my 13 year old son’s birthday. We had no previous experience with 3D printers. I researched many different 3D models for about a month. I wanted one that was easy to setup and could be used independently by him. I agonized over which one to go with, and when I decided on the Entina Tina 2S it was because the price was right, customer service has a great reputation, and it came pre assembled and ready to go right out of the box. This printer has been absolutely amazing! It has far exceeded my expectations. I wanted one that came with an SD card with preloaded images to print, one that was WiFi compatible and one that had the ability to be used with a Mac Book. The App for the printer has been working great! We haven’t even needed to use the software on our computer because the App is very user friendly and has a large library of options to print. He’s been printing fidgets for his brother and buddies and little toy animals for his sister and her friends. I would highly recommend this 3D printer- it is a great beginner printer and so easy to navigate. ... show more

  • Great printer but terrible slicer software
Model: TINA2 BASIC V9
Nothing but good things to say about this wonderful little printer, shipped fast and well packaged, worked right out of the box with little setting up - the self leveling build bed is a dream and the fine detail that this prints at is wonderful - this is not for large items but is great for small detailed parts and some less detailed miniature figures - overall very happy with this machine and would recommend it to any beginner to 3d modeling - BUT the proprietary slicer software (Wiibuilder) that comes with it is very poor and it is better to use the standard CURA slicer that is also included with the printer. I have used CURA for years and found it to be the best slicer software for my machines. ... show more

  • It's ok
Model: TINA2S v10
This was our first experience with a 3D printer. My son had been wanting to try 3D printing for a while now and his interest in learning about it made me want to try it as well. So i searched and researched for months trying to find a good small printer that would be beginner friendly but also of good quality, and preferably on sale as well. Finally I decided on this one based off its great reviews and low price tag (caught it on a lightning deal) and my son was thrilled when I showed it to him. Setting it up was lightning fast, pretty much just plug and play after unpacking it and loading the filament. The first print we did was the pre-loaded frog, and it came out cute but broke as we tried to get it off the bed because it was super stuck on there. We tried all the other models on the TF card and they all came out cute, but we really started to get an idea of just how SLOW this printer is. We moved on to models downloaded from the Poloprint app and online, and started to notice that the quality of prints went down tremendously if the model wasn't super simple and mostly flat. I tried following the advice of others about changing settings and such, but nothing really helps. I really started to kick myself about this purchase a couple weeks in because of all the limitations of this machine, especially with just how long it takes to print such tiny models. I knew I should have just spent the extra money to get a full-size printer that prints much faster. I wish I could just return this, but I hate being that person that returns items that I've already opened and used just because it isn't as "cool" as I thought it would be. It does work, it is just incredibly slow and best for simple models, pretty much just an expensive toy for my son. He likes it still and keeps using it, but he is also frustrated with how slow it is and how half of his prints fail for one reason or another. It does seem like a safe machine for kids to use and is easy to figure out, so it does get some points for being child-friendly. Just treat it like a toy and not a serious 3D printer, and maybe you won't be dissapointed. ... show more

  • After sales service is great!
Model: TINA2S v10
My first printer had many failure points after 6 months. After working with the supplier, I am receiving a new one. Even though this is a beginner printer, it makes great, fine detailed, small parts. The slow, Cartesian movement and extrusion/ retraction speed make for better production of small parts. My experience with cross X-Y printers show that although very fast, they are better for very large, less detailed prints. Some ideas to keep this printer in good shape: 1. Carefully clean the inside of the printer with a vacuum cleaner after every print job. This keeps filament strands away from the z axis worm gears, all axis bearing guide rails and the critically y endstop. 2. The x axis gantry belt will encounter some wear in the region where the torque is applied from the x axis motor gear. Clean that belt with a vacuum cleaner to remove small worn belt pieces that might occur. 3. After every job, I run cleaning filament through the extruder. This removes small, caked on pieces from the extruder bore. 4. Apply a small amount of clear silicone grease the z axis worm gears and allaxis bearing guides (also underneath printer. 5. If you must move any axis assemblies, turn the printer off! Otherwise, the stepper motors will act as generators and send a back emf into the motherboard, possibly damaging it. 6. Watch the you tube maintenance videos, especially the one for removing the top from the unit. This requires care to avoid damage to the unit walls. Conclusion: overall, a very good printer for the price! ... show more
