After using one of these lights for about a year and gradually buying a few more as I could, I feel like I can give a solid, honest review. I originally tried a different solar light that claimed to be as bright as a streetlight, but after comparing the two, I actually prefer these. The detached solar panel is a huge advantage—it lets you mount the light under an overhang or even in a tree where sunlight is limited, while still getting a good charge. We use ours on the 0% dim setting that switches to full brightness when motion is detected. That’s something the other light didn’t offer, and it made a big difference. The other one would constantly get triggered by bugs and be turning bright and dim all night. These don’t have that issue—they only come on when they detect a person or animal, and we haven’t had problems with false triggers. Installation is super easy, and I like that they’re simple to move around if needed. The brightness is good, though I will say the only advantage the other light had was slightly wider coverage. It was brighter, but it wasn’t as well built and didn’t have nearly as many useful features. One feature I didn’t realize I needed until I tried the other light is adjustable run time. That one only stayed on for about 20 seconds, which was frustrating (especially when my dog in the middle of doing his business and we were both left in the dark with me waving my arms around trying to get it to turn back on !). With these, you can set how long the light stays on, which is really convenient. I also like that you can adjust the motion sensor angle and reposition the side lights to aim where you need them. Overall, even though the other light was a bit brighter, I would much rather use two of these to get the same coverage. They’re more reliable, better designed, have more features, and are more affordable too.

These are high quality lights. We first bought one to light up our carport. After my husband got his steal building put up, we got two more for security for it. They are bright and the sensors work well. We have had the one for almost 2 years now and had no problems with it.

These are the best solar flood lights I have tried yet. I dont think the sensor captures the distance that they claim but it does work from a single story house gutter height to about 15 ft away. They are brighter than most. I would buy these again.

Great solar light for security. I placed it on my out building and adjusted it as directed. It works really well especially when when its pitch dark out and you need light the most. It lasts a good long time as well estimating more than 3 years. The one before was still working just broke to where it couldn't be adjusted cuz the shed door smacked it. Lasts very long and recommended

Followed instructions and charged the solar panel a full day before plugging into the light that is mounted on the side of our house in direct sunlight. It worked well at night when we walked in range of the sensor that is switched on the "automatic" setting. I counted to 10 when the lights came on and they stayed on a little less than 10 seconds. The next morning I walked by the sensor exactly where I walked by it the night before and to my surprise the lights turned on when it was sunny. I walked by several times and the lights turned on every time with direct sunlight on the entire light including the sensor. We adjusted the sensor in various directs day after day, trying to find an angle that would not activate the lights during the day. Every day since we installed it this issue has been a problem that we could never fix buy adjusting the position of the sensor. Tonight, Jan 18, 7:30 p.m. the light did not turn on at all when our dog walked out the door, the light has been turning on at night whenever the dog goes out the door but tonight it failed. Since it did not turn on for the dog, I went outside and walked back and forth in front of the light and it did not turn on as I passed by it. We received this light in November 2024 and less than two months later, January 2025, this solar light died. I'm guessing that it died because the sensor is turning on the lights throughout the day and probably draining the battery. I live in So Calif where we have sunlight every day so the solar panel is fully charged daily. Will be requesting a refund...but to return it we have to go back on the roof to detach the solar panel and patch up the holes the siding on the house where we will be removing the fixture. We read some good reviews and bought it when the price was marked down before the holidays. It was a bargain but it turned out to be defective within 2 months so it's now worthless and an inconvenience to dismantle and return it within 30 days.
