  • LET THERE BE LIGHT! LET THERE BE LIGHT!
Color: 3000/4000/5000K - 3CCT White Size: 6 Inch
These lights were purchased based on the high reviews and recommendations from other Amazon buyers. The lights came package very well packaged with protective plastic to protect the led light and foam supporting everything inside the box. The lights were very easy to install, this is my first time installing recess lights which I had to watch a bunch of YouTube videos. The hardest part was removing the old metal can lights in the attic and running the wires. The fun part was cutting all the holes, I bought the ZXHAO 6.1 inch hole saw which cut the perfect hole for the lights. Used 14/2 romex to run all the wires since my breaker was 15 amp. On the electrical box that house all the wires has 3x knock outs, I bought Morris Product 1/2 inch which was the perfect fit, which there was an option to buy less because I still have 80x knock out that I’m not sure what I’ll do with, they only give you an option for 100 quantity. Connecting the romex wires to the box was a breeze, the design of the led light are well thought out and well designed. I’m very satisfied with the overall quality and slick look of the lights. In total I installed 21x of these throughout the house which took me about half the day. I recommend before installing these to map out your are to see the best place you can install them thus saving time. I purchased the LED light with the 3 light setting, 3000k, 4000k, and 5000k. After having the lights set at 4000k they were too bright and had more of a white/blue tent to them, the 5000k was bright as sitting in the Seahawks football stadium, lighting up the whole beautiful 206 neighborhood. I eventually settle with 3000k which was perfect. It had the perfect brightness you would want in a house with a warm feel like your actually in a house and not a garage parking lot or stadium. Again I’m very satisfied with how these lights turned out and I highly recommend it to those looking to upgrade/add sophisticated beautiful lighting to their home. Happy install everyone! ... show more

  • Customer Service Rocks! Customer Service Rocks!
Color: 3000/4000/5000K - 3CCT White Size: 6 Inch
I recently installed drop ceiling tile covers in our basement to replace/hide those old chalky ones and also replaced old can ceiling lighting which used a big metal housing above the tile. These lights are lightweight, the wiring is easy to connect into the junction box provided and it's literally plug and play. When connecting the wires to the adapter inside the junction box, turning the adapter clockwise while pushing the wire inside makes it very easy. It's in the directions but I didn't read them so it ook me a few times to figure out why the connections weren't holding. To remove the wire, you can't just pull out. You turn counterclockwise while pulling the wire out. Quite simple actually. There is a circle template provide to make exact cuts in the ceiling for the light to fit securely. In my case, to cut holes in the drop ceiling tiles, I bought a Goldblatt G05141 drywall circle cutter and set it to match the dimensions of the circle template. Easy peezy. For every tile covered, I put the old chalky tile on top. For the ones with a light, the chalky board rests on top as well but I didn't attach the light fixture to the chalky board and instead attached to the tile cover itself. The cover is thin plastic so when attached to the old board, the light would press up causing an indention in the plastic tile. The fixtures are light enough to where I attached them to the plastic tile itself using a piece of regalar cardboard for the fixture springs and it doesn't droop. For the junction box, I just placed that on top of the old tile. Hope that made sense. Some reviewers said the lights didn't dim enough. I bought a Lutron DVCL-153P-GR LED+ dimmer switch with a Lutron Claro cover. I don't know if the switch is on the compatibility list or not but there is no buzzing etc. It works great. Inside the switch, there is a dimming adjust "knob". In some rooms, I moved it to the lowest setting and it's very dim with the slider moved to the bottom and bright enough with the slide moved all the way up. For example, when I start my day in the home office, I turn on the lights at very dim and then gradually slide up during the day. For other rooms, I start out at the brightest setting. It's a very nice feature on that switch. For color of light. I'm glad I chose at least 3 options (3/4/5K). I chose to use 4K which I think is a nuetral light. 5K was a bit too harsh and 3K a bit to yellow for my taste. I think if I purchased the fixture with more options, I'd have a hard time making a decision. Lol. The cool thing is that you can easily change the color temp at any time. Example: I'm not sold on the neutral light in a bathroom so I may move the switch to 3K. The lights are more than bright enough and cover a good amount of area. For Customer Service. I cannot say enough kind things about them. One of my lights was missing a spring. The lights come with 2 springs attached to the light. In most cases, especially mine, you need both springs to securely attach the lights to a ceiling. I emailed support, they responded very, very fast. I explained my situation and they sent me out a replacement fixtuee immediately. I don't often get fast responses or resolution from many companies unfortunately. I recently bought an additional 4 pack of these same lights to finish up another room. No issues, they work great just like all the others. It's amazing how much easier these are to install vs those big metal can light fixtures. Hope this review helps others. ... show more

  • Too easy. Why didn't I do this before? Too easy. Why didn't I do this before?
Color: 3000/4000/5000K - 3CCT White Size: 4 Inch
My old 55 vintage home was a bit dim on lighting and during a recent remodel effort I decided to give a pack of these a whirl in the living room (north facing with only one window so seldom bright enough and originally wired with the usual interrogation room ceiling fixture centered in the room. So I got after putting 11 of these up in there on a dimmer and so glad I did. Love it! I can make the brightness match the day outside, or dim it down in evenings to take the edge off. Crank it up for vacuuming and cleaning, and take it down for tv watching. The boxes are IC and damp rated out of the box (don't forget to pull the foam ring off the light to let it sit tighter to the ceiling (the foam ring is for the damp environment sealing). I like the 48-inch spacing I did on my 8-foot ceiling pretty well. Smooth lighting through the space. I did half that distance-ish off the walls for the first row (21") to keep from shadowing the corners of the room. Buy your 3/8 snap-in bushings ahead of time for the boxes as they don't come with any. You'll need a 4 1/8" (105mm) hole saw for cutting new holes. Remember to cut your hole in REVERSE rotation so it doesn't bite and grab. Recommend putting these up on 14/2 wire as the connectors seem to like that size a lot better than 12/2 throughout most of my house. Both will work but getting everything into that little box will be hard with 12/2. The boxes are nice - no cut fingers - but just barely big enough to run three 14/2 wires into it. Be sure to purchase a compatible dimmer - many models of which are rated by the manufacturer in the literature from poor to excellent. I bought an "excellent" rated Lutron dimmer that does, indeed, dim smooth as butter. And I popped the extra couple bucks for the variable color in case I couldn't decide or I wanted to better match other lights or parts of the house. Glad I did. Installed them at 4K but the next day popped each puck down and flipped it to 3K. This versatility is nice. Finally, something I didn't expect and love about these lights is in my situation they can replace an old builder's choice 60's-era ceiling fixture directly. I dropped the fixture, then dropped the 4" box from the blocking. These thin-profile boxes and lights then slipped right in above the ceiling where the old fixture used to be, and wired right in. Because the drywaller cut a nice proper hole I don't have any gaps showing around the puck. So this could be a viable option for converting anything on a 4" box to one of these. This was great because my hallway had one old ceiling fixture that I replaced with one of these and added four more so they all matched. Four stars on longevity because I don't know yet, but every light worked fine out of the box. Time will tell. ... show more

  • Nice lights
Color: 5000K - Daylight Size: 6 Inch
Lux measured at one foot with my phone is consistent with the advertised lumens. These are probably some of the brightest lights you will find in a 6 inch form factor. They are super easy to install and wire. You do not need much access to wire them and they can be installed directly under a joist if that is where it lines up. Color selection and dimming are both good to have. ... show more

  • Wonderful lights! Wonderful lights!
Color: 3000/4000/5000K - 3CCT White Size: 6 Inch
Each light is equal to about 110 Watt light bulb. Image 1: We have a game/home theater room roughly 18' x 14', where I mapped it out using Microsoft Visio. In the image, I've included the link I used to help calculate the lighting, given my room size. Images 2-7: The original room only had a ceiling fan with 4x 30W lights, which made it difficult to read or play games. Images 8 & 9: We wanted a bright room when playing games, reading, working out, etc. Therefore, we were hoping that six lights would be enough, but just in case we needed eight, we bought the 12-pack. Also, we weren't sure what color we wanted, so we bought the 3CCT. The 2700K through 3500K just looked brown and dull, and the 4000K had a nice white and bright look. Ultimately, we decided to keep the 5000K, as we bought a dimmer (not yet installed). Pros: 1) If you have wired something before, installing it was simple enough. We use a 6.1" BI-Metal Wood Hole Saw (see below for more info). 2) We love how bright our room is now - it is a joy to use. I've been so impressed with Ensenior Lights (and the cost) that I am considering installing their Shop lights in my "wood-working" garage. Cons: The projector screen gets washed out when the lights are on. However, we expect the dimmer will help with this, including making the room cozy for our date nights. ;) Do different: If we were going to do it again, we would have just gotten the 5000K version and saved ourselves a few bucks. We like having extra on hand because it will be easier to replace when one dies. Also, I might put one in our master bedroom reading corner - since that light is just a simple 60w bulb. Notes: I am not affiliated with anyone, but here is what we used if you are interested. 1) I bought the LC LICTOP 6.1" BI-Metal Wood Hole Saw (link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LGKR22L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1). However, my 2 Dewalt cordless power drills couldn't do the job. So, I had to use my 30-year-old corded 1/2" power drill, which did the job just fine. I'm glad I've never thrown it out. Also, expect a LOT of dust!! After drilling the first hole, we covered our speakers, electronics, and couch. 2) My wife and I love our home theater screen! Which is a "Silver Ticket Products STR Series 6 Piece Home Theater Fixed Frame 4K / 8K Ultra HD, HDTV, HDR & Active 3D Movie Projection Screen, 16:9 Format, 135" Diagonal, White Material STR-169135" (link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DGW15NU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) ... show more

  • Good quality retrofit lights, but if you plan to use a dimmer check their compatibility list first!
Color: 3000/4000/5000K - 3CCT White Size: 4 Inch
I installed 10 of these selectable temperature 4" LED lights into a home office. Install is very straightforward. Cutting the hole is easy with a 4.1" hole saw for your cordless drill. Here is the one I purchase for the job: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YY69BJG?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1. I also purchased this to keep the mess contained, which worked very well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ESWJU5W?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1. Be sure to run your drill in reverse to protect anything that is on the other side of the sheet rock and to keep everything under control Wiring inside the junction boxes is a snap, thanks to the push connectors, but you'll have to provide your own junction box wire connectors for strain relief. I used this type https://www.amazon.com/Sigma-Electric-ProConnex-44694-Connector/dp/B00C3YCSUQ/ref=asc_df_B00C3YCSUQ/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198079373928&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8154605891185787427&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009782&hvtargid=pla-350781289325&psc=1. Be sure to remember to set your temps before you install so you don't have to pull them down to set the temperature switch. I selected 4000k for the home office. The springs have enough tension to snug them up flat to 3/4" sheet rock and there is a rubber gasket included for damp conditions. Once they were installed, they have functioned flawlessly (with one caveat). I didn't have any dud lights and they dim just as they should. The caveat is that you need to pay attention to their recommended dimmer list, which was updated in 2021 I believe, to be certain of compatibility. I looked at an old list, on which my dimmer, the Lutron Caseta PD-6WCL https://www.amazon.com/Lutron-Wallplate-Assistant-Incandescent-PDW-6WCL-WH/dp/B07SJJBTYY/ref=sr_1_7?crid=220XCZQVBVWJE&keywords=caseta%2Bpd-6wcl-wh&qid=1644862511&s=hi&sprefix=Caseta%2Bpd-6%2Ctools%2C112&sr=1-7&th=1 was listed but was evidently was removed from the new list due to customers having issues with it. Here is my particular issue. The switch operates the lights, does not cause flickering, is quiet and dims them perfectly, however when first turn the lights on they immediately come on, then go off for a second or two, then come back on. I spoke with Ensenior customer service, which was very responsive, and they recommend using a different dimmer, which happens to cost a hundred twenty bucks for the Caseta smart version, which is what I need. The non-smart dimmers were about half that. After spending sixty bucks for my current dimmer, I didn't feel like spending even more for one that may supposedly not blink. If I find the need for another dimmer elsewhere, I might swap it out, but for now I just wait for the start up sequence. My total amperage/wattage is well below the switches capacity, if you are wondering. Interestingly, I used the same switches in two other rooms but was using the fixed temperature version of these same lights and do not have any issue at all. So, whether it be due to phase, bias of the Extreme Low Voltage lights or perhaps a capacitor in the chain, it doesn't seem to effect the fixed temperature lights the same as the selectables in my case. All in all, given you have the correct dimmer or use a toggle, I recommend these lights, particularly for the price. I understand these type lights are pretty much manufactured by the same company and then are branded for the individual retailers, so I doubt they are any different than the ones at the big box retailers, except they are cheaper. I also cannot attest to the RFI issue, so that could become apparent at some point. ... show more

  • Excellent product. You won’t regret it
Color: 5000K - Daylight Size: 6 Inch
First of all, I have to say that this product is just excellent and the price is unbeatable. Something that it is important to know is that you need a lot of these because this is a conically directed light. So, they are super bright, but only in a very determined space. If you do your research online, you will find out that there is a determined space in between them. Therefore, for a big room, you will need several. I noticed that at my local hardware store, each one of these was costing in between $20 and $25. When you buy them in bulk, they end up costing between five and seven dollars and even cheaper. No, installation is a breeze as long as you have very basic knowledge of electrical installation and how an electrical circuit works. Excellent performance when paired with a dimmer. I strongly recommend this product. ... show more

  • High quality, bright light
Color: 5000K - Daylight Size: 6 Inch
Durability / Reliability The light fixture itself seems pretty solid and durable. The spring clips are more of a concern for me. Spring kind of easily falls off the retainer holding it to the light but once its in place is fine. Also the spring tension almost seems too strong because when I had to remove a fixture to reposition it the spring almost broke out the drywall. Functionality / Versatility I've installed numerous ceiling lights through the years and by far these are the the easiest - Just 'plug n play'! No can needed, and easily strung together in series. As it turns out they are brighter than I expected for my kitchen so I've added a dimmer switch for versatility. Summary Where have these fixtures been all my life!? I've installed numerous ceiling lights through the years. I only planned to use these in the kitchen, but after seeing results I'm replacing utility room, closets, hallway, shop, etc... High quality, bright light, low energy consumption and cost efficient. I'll be purchasing more. ... show more
