    • So much better than the old high hats!

I love these! Our new house was dark. The only lights were old high hats and pendants in the kitchen and lamps you plug in in the bedrooms and main living spaces. So I bought these. 1 over the shower. 4 for the kitchen. The openings were slightly larger than these needed but we got them to work. They look so much better being white and flush mounts. The app was easy to set up. And the automations and scenes easy to program in. They are so cool. It’s so nice to be able to set them to a soft evening light for Tv time versus a bright light when cooking. My husband hasn’t seen them yet. I had a handy man install them and set them up to control myself in under 10 minutes including installing and upgrading the hub. The hub just plugs into your modem with a supplied cable and a power chord. Super easy. The App walks you through. The QR codes don’t work but the app lets you bypass the QR code to install. Pics of the old lights versus the new! Sorry for the blurry pics when the lights are on All in all. I love them. Will update if my husband has a different opinion when he gets home. ... show more

    • If you have the old Hues app, bridge and lights toss it this is superior
Style: 5/6-inch Canless/Slim Size: 6 Pack
I had the old bridge and lights quite a challenge over the years with connectivity and the ridiculous app However I reluctantly upgraded to this new version and bridge and wow! I can't tell you how awesome this new system is. Connectivity is fast, the new app has prebuilt scenes that are so easy to access where as before they were confusion almost to the point of tricking you into paying for them anyway don't hesitate the colors are brilliant ssSStellar! The system really is designed to assist you in setting it up it costs more but it is well built and steps above the cheaper wafer lights out there that require too many steps to connect and set up. • Perfect addition to our home
Style: 5/6-inch Canless/Slim Size: 6 Pack
Review Image by Car Creations
Amazing quality and brightness! We ordered a set of these and they were so easy to install and setup. The app works well if you have the bridge and it’s very fun to set different colours to light up a mood. Now that I know they work so well, I will be buying another 12 to finish our home. Thanks!

    • Super easy install
Style: 5/6-inch Canless/Slim Size: 6 Pack
I ordered a 6 pack for my garage. Splurged a bit cuz I shoot YouTube videos in my garage. The install was so easy. If you've installed a fan or changed out a light fixture before, you can do this no problem. The wire nuts (they come with the fancy ones) are pre-installed, so daisy chaining is easy. Running wire and cutting a 6" hole is the harder part, but still easy. I had one light position that had a stud right in the middle of it. Well these canless lights are the width of the drywall, so it was not an issue at all. The one downfall is - they aren't super bright. I had a 18000 lumen shop light before that was obviously overkill, but even these 6 hue lights in the brightest setting can't light up my two car garage to my liking and I probably need 2-4 more. But I enjoy them and I'll likely order more. ... show more

    • Good item with caveats
Style: 5/6-inch Canless/Slim Size: 6 Pack
Needs a better template and clearer instructions on exactly what size to drill (mentioned two different sizes but didn't specify much else.) Otherwise, the lights function as expected, are of decent quality, I had no issues getting it connected to my hue hub, and I like that the premium version comes in black instead of white. ... show more

    • Another Top Notch Philips Hue Product!!!
Style: 5/6-inch Canless/Slim Size: 6 Pack

Well it took 5 years to complete the outdoor Philips Hue setup. Just purchased 9 of the Philips Hue Slim Downlights to install under the soffits (6 in the front of the house, 3 over the garage bays), and I am 100% thrilled with the results. Since this is not a retrofit, a new 6" hole needed to be cut for the light to fit in. A little hot & sweaty attic electrical work, and all 9 downlights came to life instantly. The electrical connections are quick and easy to hook up, and the spring tension clips securely hold the light in place. In all, 43 lights are now outside alone on their own Hue bridge. This setup consists of the following quantities: Lily 8 Lily XL 2 Calla 6 6" downlight 9 Aramant (not seen) 1 Econic 10 A19 Base 1 Candleabra 6 Thanks again Philips! You make a fantastic product! ... show more
