This beautiful knife rack is a true space saver in the kitchen. The footprint is sleek and takes up much less counter space than a traditional boxy knife block. I have knives comfortably placed on both sides of the holder and the magnetic siding keeps them securely in place. It seems the magnet to hold the knives in place runs the entire span of the wood because the knives don't shift around while in the holder, no matter how small they are. (I had a similar unit like this in the past and it was obvious it had a very small magnetic strip because the knives in the holder would turn sideways if not placed in the holder just right or if the knives were too short to actually hit the magnetic strip). Because of the acrylic siding, it is easy to see the size of the knife you are grabbing, unlike a traditional knife block where you have to either memorize what knife you have in which slot or pull knives out one at a time until you find the knife you are looking for - so annoying. I went a little different on the placement and have the shelf facing my workspace so I can store and easily access my kitchen scissors. The quality of this knife block is exceptional and it is a stunning addition to my kitchen.

Needed new kitchen knifes and end up buying a specialty set. Found this knife block to work as housing for the new knives. Great product, arrived as advertised and fit all the new kitchen knives. It’s solid wood, with a sturdy plastic outer casing to protect the knives while displaying them nicely. I was skeptical of the magnet strength but it’s sturdy and keeps the knives secure very well. It’s a nice bonus that it’s double sided and includes a little nook to house a cutting board as well. Great value for the cost.

This is a great product for the price. It even makes my old knives that have given me years of service and I've had forever look terrific. It easily holds 10 knives. I set some small, thin cutting shield that are great for a fast cut on smaller items and my kitchen scissors in the slot behind. Don't be afraid to buy this nice and solid piece.

This is a quality item that will work for most people, but not for me. A few problems: The CONs: 1.) The knives I bought are too thick. They won't fit between the acrylic and the wood. I could get around this by just removing the acrylic, but... 2.) The acrylic is NOT removable. You can't clean the inside where the wood is. This is an issue if you're like me and clean stuff that comes from a factory. I've worked in factories. They're not clean places. But I could live with that if my knives would at least fit. The product description says it's removable. Even one of the user videos says it's removable. Mine is not. Believe me, I tried. 3. You're not getting scissors in these You're also not getting a lot of knives in them either. It's not that big. I'd say you might get 6-8 average knives on it. If you're worried about this, take the measurements from the description and cut a piece of cardboard then place your knives on it. Double that number. (Knives go on both sides.) 4. The acrylic feels flimsy. It feels like it could break very easily. The PROs: It's pretty. It's nice. It's well made. It's a quality item, it really is. The magnets are strong. The acrylic will protect your knives from random water splashes, or it could protect fingers, or protect the knives from a cat brushing up against them (I have cats, and I'd rather not cut food with a knife a cat brushed up against with its BUTT.) Things like that. Overall, it's quite a nice item. OVERALL: I'll have to return it, but before I do, I'll ask my parents if they want it. This will work for most people and it will look outstanding in most kitchens. It is a well made item that most people will be very happy with. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in my case.

Exactly what I had been looking for. I wanted a magnetic knife holder with the plexiglass shields on both sides. Holds all my knives and I can easily see the knives. Price was good as well.

It looks sleek and nice but the craftsmanship is poor. The first thing i did was take the plastic shielding off to wash the factory residue off, which is one of the availabilities advertised. Before I started I noticed a few hairline cracks in the wood and some in the plastic as well. The drill holes were never cut or sanded down nor was the bottom area where the cutting board goes. Lastly the plastic sides could also be sanded down or reamed, they are some rough sides that needed a bit of work from myself to keep them from scratching skin. But out of everything wrong, this piece does it's job well and looks good while doing it. I have a nice 8 piece knife set that I'm finally able to display all of the knives now and takes up virtually minimal space. After everything, I would hesitantly recommend and/or buy this again.
