This is a great set for a beginner like me. I’d always wanted to try to learn to play the violin but honestly did not want to invest much money as I wasn’t sure how I’d do. This violin set is the perfect starter step because it includes all the basics you need. Now for people who are more experienced, they may be able to point out things that I’m not yet noticing. But everything included is of good enough quality for me to learn on.
And I’m glad it came with a case as well. It just includes everything you or someone you’re giving it to as a gift would need to get started without investing a ton of money. Now to get my partner some earplugs. Perhaps that’s the only extra thing they could have included to make it a truly complete set!

This violin, to a complete beginner, sounds and plays beautifully for such a low priced instrument. I wanted this violin because I am fairly musically inclined and want to give it a shot. The primary reason I want to learn to play the violin is so I can record my own strings and just layer them. I believe that this instrument is the perfect starting point. It comes with everything you need to get started, and the hard shell case is such a welcome addition I might add. The bow and the bridge both seem like they are of decent quality, although once again, I am only a beginner. I also love the fact that it comes with resin and a shoulder rest, not to mention a nice little lint free cleaning cloth. They even threw in a pair of white gloves for some reason. This is a fine instrument for learning, especially for the price. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who would like to try their hand at playing without investing much at all.

Much better quality than expected at this price point. Comes with everything you need (even a tuner) in a really, really nice substantial case. The workmanship on this violin is just outstanding. Anyone would be proud to own this but is is especially right for a beginner and would make a fantastic gift to an aspiring violinist.
