**UPDATE: 2/26/21 - Just bought a second one — first one is still perfect & works 100% the same as Day 1; I bought a second so one is always handy at home or at our vacation cottage! This is the shortcut to a sleek, straight look for my long, wavy hair! I’m amazed at how effective and fast it is to transform “beach hair” to “date night hair!” It’s a reliable and well-made appliance! This is the second heat straightening brush that I owned, and what an improvement: I can’t say enough good things about THIS ONE! It’s far superior to any other one I’ve tried. The design is unique in that the heated bristles are more like rigid fins than hairbrush bristles, which is VERY effective on smoothing and straightening my hair into sleek plaits. I have medium-fine, sort of wavy/sort of straight long hair, and if I don’t blow-dry it with a brush after washing or sleeping on it, it tends to look like a witchy mess. I usually wash it every third day and rely on dry shampoo for an in-between refresh, but I’m impatient about the time and effort it would usually take to get “date night” sleek hair using a standard flat iron (or my old $25 straightening brush from Sally Beauty) on a daily basis. This brush has changed my routine 100% because it’s so FAST! I’ve attached three photos, all taken after I’d spent the day after sitting on the beach in windy, humid, ocean air — and the “frizz effect” was in full bloom. These pics were taken within minutes of each other when I went indoors to style my hair: “The Before”, Then “3 minutes in and one side done”, and “The After” — The whole process only took me about seven or eight minutes from beginning to end, including the time it took to heat the brush up to 410°, which is almost instant. The first day that I used the brush, I had an appointment with my hair stylist for a touchup on my highlights, and she was raving about how smooth and sleek my long hair looked. She’s been taking care of my hair for several years and knows how I normally arrive to the salon so her compliment was genuine — she even asked for the details on my new MiroPure Straightening Brush so she could refer it to her other clients. The bottom line is that this is a well-constructed appliance that does exactly what it promises, and I couldn’t be happier with it… Worth every penny!! (Just to clarify, I give it three stars on drying power because that’s not what it supposed to do. There is no airflow — I did use it on slightly damp but mostly dry hair once and the heat was enough to remove the remaining moisture underneath and around my neck, but I wouldn’t rely on it for transitioning from wet hair, use a blowdryer first.)

The brush does exactly what it promises to do. I have long hair, medium thickness with a slight wave that I feel is unattractive. (I like straight or curly). I spray on some heat protectant, and then rough dry my hair which takes only a couple of minutes. Afterwards, I use this brush and in about three minutes, I have perfectly smooth, straight hair. This brush is not made to curl hair, however, I have no problem getting my hair to curve under with this brush, as I don't like stick straight hair on me. It has saved me a good 20-30 minutes that it would normally take me to dry my hair smooth with a blow dryer. The brush gets very hot, so I suggest you play around with temperature settings and use the lowest temp that works for you.

Full disclosure - I just received this and used it today for the first time. I have long, mostly straight hair. It does have a bit of wave in it and since it's often in a ponytail there is often a crease on the back of my head. I also have a weird cowlick near the crown of my head. My hair is not thick or curly. I have been using a rather expensive flat iron until today. It literally took minutes to straighten my hair. Worked so much better and faster than the flat iron. I was stunned by how well it worked. Heats up super fast and takes no time for me to achieve the look I want. Now I see how durable and long-lasting it is...but for now I couldn't be more pleased. And I do use a heat-protectant just as I did with the flat iron.

Absolutely great for girls learning to their own hair! My daughter is 11 and uses it with ease. It straightens her THICK hair wonderfully and with such ease. The handle doesn't get hot, the way it's designed it would be pretty hard to burn yourself. It heats up extremely fast great for when you're in a hurry. It's well made and very durable. Worth the money!

This hair straightening device is super easy to use and does a fantastic job of easily straightening my hair without using high heating temperatures. I'm an older woman with long thinning hair but two of my daughters bought one for their long THICK 4C hair and described their experience very positively as well. They both wash their hair, "twist or plait it up" to dry naturally over the weekend and on Sunday evening, have their hair straightened in about an hour as opposed to my half-hour!
