It works fine, fits pretty well, but this is a poor replacement for a built-in headrest. It’s wobbly, wildly overpriced, and it’ll pop off if you bump it too hard. But since this is related to Herman Miller, it’s never going to be appropriately priced.

I’m short and this headrest is still good. I sit on a pillow and so my head rests nicely on it. The material is nice and slightly stretchy to provide a cushion feel. It is a pretty heavy piece so be sure to secure the headrest with the provided tool.

    • BAD FOR YOUR NECK
Size: H5 Color: Onyx
The design of this is very poor. It pushes your head forward and throws your alignment off balance. It should hit right at the neck to provide support, however it hits at the middle of your skill. You are better off doing neck and upper back exercises to strengthen vs using this piece of crap.

I got the H5 version. I tightened it down enough that I started to worry that it might damage the chair, but it still popped off when I leaned back into it without thinking (must have been more force than my initial testing). Additionally, since the headrest is near its max height, it has a large back and forth range of motion because of how flexible the plastic is over this distance. Maybe this is more desirable than a firm support for some people. Finally, the left-to-right tolerance of the height adjustment is loose, causing wobble. It just doesn't feel high quality, especially given the price. Returning, mostly because I can't have my headrest occasionally popping off the chair. ... show more
