This filter assembly is really well built. The threaded cap section is sturdy thick plastic, not flimsy at all. There are no signs of molding seams, or excess plastic flash with sharp bits sticking out, it is smooth and uniform. This cap should last many filter replacements. The filter has many pleats for good filtering ability. The filter snaps into the cap very solidly and is spring loaded for proper tension.
