Royal Purple Oil Filter features 100 percentage synthetic micro-glass media for superior particle removal with 99 percentage filtration efficiency at 25 microns. This product is designed with a high-performance silicone anti-drain back valve that prevents dry starts, even in extreme conditions and an extra heavy-duty rubber base gasket that ensures a leak-free seal. The Royal Purple Oil Filter also provides an ultra-strength filter housing that can endure higher burst strength than conventional filters.     • Cleans oil better than fram

Bought this hesitantly. I've always used fram filters and Valvoline oil. Recently I've noticed at oil change intervals that the oil has been very dirty. More so than normal. So I decided to buy this filter and give it a try. After about half the life of an oil change I checked the dipstick and to my surprise the oil is as clean as the day I put in the new oil. It was so clean in fact I had to look closely to the dipstick to find the oil line. I will update if anything changes but as of right now I am sold that a better quality filter is definitely worth the investment ... show more

If you want your car or truck to last, then you need to use Royal Purple! I use this in my 2014 Ford F-150 STX (V8, 5.7L). It has increased my acceleration and I'm getting better gas mileage. I also use this is my 2007 Toyota Yaris. Combined with a K&N air filter and Royal Purlple I went from 34 highway MPG to 37 MPG highway. Lastly my parents use this in their 2001 Chevy Trail Blazer. Although it's in rough shape, they have seen a smoother sounding engine, and a small improvement in MPG. I also recommend using the Royal Purple oil filter, if you do the research it's simply the best. My oil change intervals for my F-150 were 6,000 miles for the first, 7,500 for the second and now I change at 9,000 miles. The reason I did this is the HSP will clean out the old dirty oil from lesser quality oils. Now when I change at 9,000 miles, the oil is still purple and clean! ... show more

This is my first time using RP products, I wanted to get their high mileage oil as well but I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted for the most part, when I did find it the price was much higher than other places and I didn’t feel like shopping around. anyways, filter wasn’t rusted like other buyers have reported so I was happy about that. Filter slid on great , using on a 2013 f150 5.0. I noticed improved power and a smoother ride. I've only had this filter installed for 1200 miles at this point, so I have not formulated too much of an opinion yet. Many new cars are now specified for synthetic oil & longer oil change intervals (OCI). Royal Purple's oil filter seems like its very well manufactured, and is designed for an extended OCI with its synthetic media. It is also made of heavier materials to ensure it will last longer.
