All of my gas powered lawn equipment that requires scheduled maintenance, air, oil and oil filters, I make sure to always have replacements on hand. At about 7 bucks this filter will do the job on my CubCadet LT1 42" LT. Even before the last of each spare is installed, (blades, air,oil, oil filters, etc.), I have already secured extra parts, just to have at the ready. I NEVER buy quarts of oil for the full synthetic is damn near 8 bucks a quart vs only 24 dollars for a five quart jug. Pictured is my lawn equipment arsenal of spares.... P.S. I use the Valvoline FULL synthetic oil in every gas powered engine, especially for the air-cooled engines on lawn equipment. My 08 RAM HEMI is running like a watch with the Valvoline 5W-20 since 10K miles after regular oil break-in.. ... show more

All I got to say is look up Purolator oil filters on youtube, and see what the guts look like, the thickness of the shell, and nuff said ;) There is NOTHING on the market for the Boss in thickness, material used, strength, and price. I use this on mine and my wifes car, with Castrol 5w30 on my 14 and 19 escapes, along with the air filter for the motor, and the cabin, for there is NO reason to look at anything else, after you watch a video on how well this is made, and material used, to go buy something else. Watch a video on Fram and poo ur pants on how poor all their line of filters are made. I used to use them all the time back in my 20's till I watched my first video on youtube about them, and my mouth dropped to the floor. Yeah they look stunning on the outside, but in them, its a wonder how they can call it a filter, f'n paper gaskets in some, complete joke. But go watch a video on this filter, and others and see for yourself as far as what to use on your car to make it last as long as it can without wearing out the motor or turbo if you have one of them. ... show more

I did lots of research, don't waist your time. 1st - American made, 2nd - based on various reviews this is the best built, 3rd - if you are using synthetic, it can last forever. In reviewing a great many filters and how they are made this is one of the best produced. It's filters around 99% microns and it is good for 15K miles. Inside you will find a fiber material vers paper, steal spring and silicone seals. well made and durable filter for the job. Considering what you get this is priced at a reasonable price. I've been using the purolator line of filters for a while now and I've never had an issue. It's hard to exactly find an oil filter that's "bad", but after watching some of the videos on YouTube of people cutting open filters I decided not to use them. These seem to do the job and they are pretty durable. One suggestion for them is to maybe do a portion of it with a rhino liner style coating or something that makes it easier to twist off by hand. ... show more

Purolator makes excellent oil filters I've always ordered the Pure One Gold filter with the grip but since this is the updated version I use this version its not a big deal about the grip.Some reviews were giving negative reviews because of the grip .What did auto mechanics do before they came out with that added feature of the grip we used a filter strap.Purolator makes oil and air filters for a lot of the auto manufacture companies. ... show more

I love this filter, been buying this every 5000 miles for my 2017 Jeep Renegade and my 2005 Ford Ranger. I know it says it protects up to 15,000 miles but I'm not going to go that long without an oil change. I used to buy the cheaper filters but I wanted to get better protection and I use full synthetic in both my vehicles. my only concern is that the price seems a little bit high, but it makes sense why. ... show more
