Anybody who has replaced an engine before knows that getting the perfect balance and alignment is critical for getting the engine in and out. This cable hoist sling makes that so much easier and accurate. It is well made and can be adjusted with a ratchet and then locked in place. I wish I had this years ago as I struggled with chains and hooks and trying over and over to get the proper lifting point.

I used this engine hoist sling on my 2011 step van with the Chevy 6.0 engine, and it worked exactly as advertised. The build quality feels solid, and the hooks and cable held the weight without any issues. What stood out is how simple it is to control the tilt and keep the engine balanced. It made the whole job much easier compared to chains. The chainless design also saves time when setting up and adjusting. For the price, it is a very good value considering the strength and convenience it provides. Definitely recommend this if you are pulling engines regularly or want something safer and quicker than traditional chains.

The one I received was assembled with the cables too short to use for anything of substance. There's no way to easily adjust the cable length, even though there is more cable wrapped around the inner cylinder. Otherwise, seems of decent quality. But in my case, I can't recommend.

Packaging was a bit rough, could have been a bit sturdier (more to protect the items it’s shipped with) The product works as intended definitely makes the removal process easier, being able to lift a little then pivot & lock it in place Is quite handy! Cables & steel feel like good quality parts & don’t anticipate any issues there. Bottom Line- If you’re pulling engine & a one man show this is a handy tool to have to help you position the engine to help you get it in/out of place! *If anything changes I will update this review!

Really like this as a complement to the engine hoist, just as good if not better than chains and a balancer. Good strong steel cable like in a come-along or winch and a similar ratchet and pawl mechanism. I absolutely love the little cartoon mechanic that looks like he's straight out of Fallout. PEPBoys meets PIPBoy

Rugged and well made, this a great accessory to your engine lift. Makes maneuvering an engine much easier than using chains or a strap. You adjust the cable length with a ½" drive wrench and then lock it into place, allowing "fine tuning" of the lift mechanism. Great buy and great value for anyone working with heavy items.
