This was a big purchase for me. I have never owned a stand up air conditioner, and I didn't know what to expect. I was nervous when I clicked the confirm order button. Let me assure you who are reading this that this was probably my highest rated purchases on amazon. I live in an apartment complex, a townhome, and we are not allowed window units; however, the AC does not reach the entire upstairs very well, and the maintenance team likes to do as little as possible about it. So, we had to invest in one of these, and I can honestly say, I am so thankful I don’t have anymore sweaty nights! The temp goes down to 64 degrees which is super, super comfortable. I do not sleep with it that low, but I love a cold, cold room, so I sleep with it at 68. If my door is open, it will cool most of the upstairs (three bedrooms). If you’re worried about the apartment complex not allowing window units, but you really want to be cool, get this. The part the has to go in the window is not big at all, and it actually, from a glance, just looks like you have a window fan, and it sounds like it too. Shipping -- Timely, and damage free. Instructions -- Clear and easy Setup -- Window installation may take some patience, but with minimal effort, it can be done in no time. (Remote even came with batteries included!) Cleaning -- I have not had to vacuum the filter for now, but I could do so easily. Sound Level -- If you keep it next to your bed, the sound could prove to be a hindrance, after hours. However, I keep mine at the window opposite my bed, and it still keeps the whole room cool, while I sleep in peace with barely a hum to be heard. Speaking of which... Sleep Mode -- The portable air conditioner becomes quieter in this mode, I didn't measure the sound level exactly, but it works great for sleeping! Separate Modes -- Fan Mode: This mode turns the appliance into a normal household fan, with low / high settings. Good for when you want to keep a cool room cool longer, and the output is impressive. Dehumidifier mode: I think this feature is great, but I haven't used it much. Dry climate and all. Remote -- can work in direct line-of-sight all the way across my room. Timer -- This feature is hands-down my favorite part of the whole deal. You can set a timer to turn off the AC (in 1-24 hour intervals). This is perfect for sleep mode on average-temperature days, or when you leave in the middle of the day, and want it to turn off when the sun goes down. All in all, I have a total of ZERO complaints about this appliance. If you are shopping for a 8000 BTU portable air conditioners, I whole-heartedly recommend this product for a worry-free buy. Tried to reach a representative because of water filling up a quart of water every 2 hours. Didn't receive a call back over a week ago. Only have had it a couple of weeks now . It cools really good but water drains to much I think.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this portable AC really surprised me—in a good way. I got it for our living room (around 400 sq ft), and it cools the space fast. Like within 30 minutes, the room actually feels comfortable, even on 90+ degree days. I’ve owned a 14k BTU unit before, but this one seems to work better despite being 12k. Go figure. Setting it up was super easy—just roll it into place, attach the hose and window panel, and plug it in. Took maybe 10 minutes tops. The window kit fit my sliding window just fine, and the remote makes things convenient. Noise-wise, it’s quieter than other portable units I’ve tried. It still makes a bit of sound (it’s a fan and compressor, after all), but nothing too distracting. We can still watch TV or sleep with it running, especially on the “Sleep” setting. The dehumidifier mode works well too. I haven’t had to empty any water manually yet, which is a big plus—guess the self-evaporation feature is doing its job. All in all, it’s solid, does what it promises, and feels worth the price. If you’re dealing with summer heat and need something reliable that you don’t have to install permanently, this is a great option.

I have nothing bad to say about this air conditioning unit. Some people complain about the noise level but it isn't any louder than a typical window air conditioner. Strangely enough, I have found that the adjustable fins that go up and down create a bit of a rattle when positioned straight but when the fins are oriented all the way up or down, the noise is gone. Perhaps there is just a bit of air turbulence created by the fins' position when they are straight. The air conditioner has cooled my bedroom significantly in no time. I love the cold when I'm trying to sleep and you can set this bad boy to give you frostbite if you were so inclined. I have returned other units that did not produce such results. The unit does what it was meant to do. The customer service, however, not only did what they were meant to do but also exceeded my expectations. They were quick and responsive. There weren't enough panels to create a long enough seal on my window so I ordered more. I also accidentally cracked one of the parts. Totally my fault! The company responded to me and sent the parts out lightning fast. Thank you guys! I love this air conditioner with customer service to match.

I DO NOT recommend this company. At all. I had a heck of a time returning this item. By far the hardest Amazon return. I never tried the product as the panels DO NOT fit a standard window and did not fit mine at all. (So don’t be fooled) There was a HUGE gap. So I was told I had to contact the seller if I could not ship the item back directly to them (which would have been way too much money in postage stamps). Now you need to know this is a big, heavy item. It is very heavy. I could not lift it by myself and I also have lower back pain issues. The company did not let me send it back, like I had strongly requested. Instead they required that I “cut the cord” so nobody else can use it. They told me to “keep it” so I would have this huge, extremely heavy box to e-waste myself. I also did not feel comfortable cutting the cord and I was very reluctant. The company did refund me, so I will give them credit for that. The customer service was below par and I DO NOT recommend buying anything from them. They didn’t want to ship it back, so beware that they will not pay for what you may need. So if it’s incredibly heavy and bulky, you may be stuck with it. The company also issued me an invalid return label at the beginning so I had to contact customer service multiple times over this. It was very tiring and I am not doing this ever again.

Bought for a camping trip with little kids and a baby. This thing is amazing !!! Great quality Great product. Kept the 10 person cabin tent VERY COLD. This thing would be great for RV, office, tents or even just the porch. Easy to use and install ANYWHERE with electricity. We woke up at night needing blankets. 90 degrees outside and 100% humidity. Vent the exhaust in window zipped up. Worked fabulous. Everyone is getting one for their tents and houses now. Highly recommend!! Such a good values of or the money. Not that loud at all either. Only needed it on 72 low the whole time and we were cooolllddd!
