Changes my posture, & my mental outlook.
Color: blue
This is the safest cane/walking stick I have ever used. I adore the way the handle gives me alternate (and safe) grips for ascending and descending stairs and slopes. I'm even able to carry groceries up flights of stairs now that previously pulled me off balance so badly I had to split the load into 3 or 4 trips, now, just 1 load safely. Mentally, I'm still rather young and a traditional cane sometimes makes me feel depressed. This walking cane takes me back to my pre-injury days of hiking. It gives me a feeling of being whole again (even though I'm not). And when I've been at the VA for appts, I've had 2-3 people ask me about it each trip. Many people also like the look and feel of activity and health. As for posture, the ability to move your hand around to fit the ground you're traversing allows you to match the cane to the ground, not you to the ground like traditional canes. No more hunching to reach the ground when going down a slope or stairs, or when traversing uneven ground. No more hunching or straining your arm when wearing different pairs of shoes from day to day, just let your hand fall naturally on the grip. The handle was rather slick though so I wrapped it in some kinestheology tape (OK tape) for a better grip. I am still trying to find the correct tip for me. The included tip trips me up a bit too often. I believe I will likely end up with the "ergocap" tip but that can slip on wet brick so I'm not entirely sure yet. I would suggest getting the cane holder that is a soft foam wire. You wrap it around the cane and make a hook out of one end to fit whatever you need to hang it on. 3 to a pack, work great and keep their shape, don't slide down the cane. Very adjustable. Can fit wherever you need it to fit. 5 out of 5 for the came out of the box.

STURDY, ADJUSTABLE, EASY TO STORE
Color: black
As I stated above it is sturdy, adjustable and easy to store. My wife and I went to the San Diego Zoo not too long ago and I brought this with me. The San Diego Zoo is anything but flat and this Walking Stick / Cane worked its magic. It keeps your posture in line. No hunching over, which I really appreciate! The only part you need to keep in mind is that the "little gripper" at the bottom is not great with water or putting it a severe angle, it will slip. But due the fact that the stick allows you to stand upright it really is not too much of a problem for me. However, it would be nice if the manufacturer would use a "foot" that grips just a bit more than it does. Other than that I love it.

Very nice walking cane/waking stick.
Color: black
Pros: This works just like as advertised. It causes you to naturally stand tall with good posture. It is very comfortable. The grip of the tip on the ground is very good. Cons: While it is free standing, it is not very stable. If I set it down very carefully it will stand, but it falls easily. This is the only fault I can find with this.

Kind of amazing.
Color: purple
I bought this out of curiosity. I carry a walking stick when i walk to help with balance, but it is a pain in the butt putting it down anywhere, so first it was the standalone feature that appealed to me. The handle looked intriguing, though I was not sure how much weight it could take off your feet with the thing held in front of you rather than like a cane, under so you could lean down into it. But this was inexpensive so I thought I would give it a try. Though there are no instructions it was easy to assemble and would easily break down to fit in a suitcase. It feels VERY solid. The height adjustment has a good range. And the handle!!! I don't pretend to understand the mechanics of it, but I am able to take a lot more weight off my feet with this than a regular cane, and with far less strain on my arm. What a wonderful tool! It does stand up by itself, though you need to make sure it is balanced right and not moving. And the purple color is gorgeous. I can't recommend this enough for someone who needs to ease some weight off his feet but hates using canes. Oh, and for anyone who has not used a full length walking stick before, they go down stairs MUCH better than a short cane.

Easily adjustable
Color: black
I have had difficulty finding a cane for someone who is short. Most canes seem to be for people who are above five feet. I have tried several that were advertised for short people but they really weren't. This cane is easily adjustable and is for people 5'and under. It is very sturdy and helps with balance.

Not as sturdy as I need.
Color: pink
Good construction, easy to collapse and reopen but the handle is clumsy though. I'm workking with it, as I do have Charcot Foot. My stability is pretty bad, I have a brace, and I've been on crutches. Moving to a stronger brace, I was also hoping to move to a cane. This one, so far is not working out, mostly because of the handle. It's oddly shaped, I've tried holding it different ways, it just feels odd, I don't trust it to support me.

Wonderful cane
Color: pink
I got this cane to not feel so old and handicapped. I had chemo 2 years ago and it left mountable and unbalanced. I did not want to depend on a cane, but that is life. At least I now have a pretty, sturdy cane that does not say "old lady" that keeps me stable and feeling more confident about getting around. Could be easier too fold down, but that may be me.

This is better than a cane!
Color: blue
I had neck surgery a year and a half ago, and have issues with walking and keeping my back straight. I purchased this walking stick because a normal cane was not helpful for me. I love this stick because of the handle, the rubber base, and the foldability of it. I live in the mountains, with lots of uneven terrain, gravel and rocks. This stick helps keep me up straighter and gets a good grip in ice and bad weather, too. My father had one and liked it, and we purchased one for a good friend of ours for out and around his house and garden. I would definitely buy again.
