Bought these for the rentals smoke alarms. The cheap batteries only last 6 months or less. Hopefully I’ll get at least a year. If I get less than a year I’ll update my review.

I am using these in a continuously running ScatMat in my home to keep a kitten away from an exit door; the instructions for the power pack of the ScatMat state the unit should run up to six months on one 9 volt battery. As these batteries have just arrived today, I have written the date in permanent marker on the battery and will update later as to how long the batteries last over time in 24/7 usage. Important Note: This listing states "Energizer EN22 Zinc-Manganese Dioxide General Purpose Battery EN22 922" - I have no idea what the exact difference is between these and a regular alkaline or lithium type battery but they are powering my ScatMat units just fine. You may want to check the manual of what application these batteries will be used to to make sure they will not negatively affect the performance of your item. In general, I like that these are Energizer brand - a solid reputation! I also like that my per battery cost was much, much lower than bargain brand batteries which in the long run seems to be the deciding factor in which batteries to buy.

Batteries are original manufacturer packaging and they all tested at an average of 9.7 V out of the box. "Best Before" date on all batteries was over 5 years from the purchase date. These are the same Industrial quality we get from our state contract purchasing system.
