Our living room/dining room have a northeastern exposure so the rooms are very dark for most of the day. When we initially switched to LED lighting, we could only find 40/60 watt equivalent bulbs. During the day, the rooms were depressing, during evening hours they were usable, but not inviting. Changing to 150 watt equivalent bulbs has changed that completely. I replaced 6 of the 100 watt LED bulbs in my garage and these make a huge difference. It feels like there are now very few dim spaces and everything is lit up so much better. Best thing to do is try them if you need additional light.

I wasn't aware how bright and mighty these light bulbs would be! I almost wish I got soft white because they're pretty bright - but not as bright as white or LED light. I got these to go in sconces in the guest room and I was impressed at how much these would light the room! I have two sconces and only need to turn one of them on to light up the entire room. I think I will be moving them into the living room lamps because the hue I got is the slightest bit to bright for a bedroom. The bulbs are also too big for the sconces so they poke out the top, which isn't noticeable unless you walk up to them and look at the top. This was of course just the fact that I need smaller bulbs for the sconces. A plus is these bulbs don't get hot. And they're extremally durable so you don't need to worry about braking them if you drop them. I would recommend, just pay attention to the color bulbs you choose! ... show more

I like my room to be bright and the Energetic 150W bulb gets the job done and does it well! The bulb is larger than a standard bulb so, if you are getting this for a lamp or fixture that has a space limit due to it being enclosed or a lamp shade height, make sure you check the measurements. They also get a bit hotter than other LED bulbs I have used. I am not concerned as it is 2.5 times brighter and so I expect them to run hotter. I am using these in a larger ceiling fixture so it isn't an issue for me. I ordered the Daylight 5000K version and they are BRIGHT! I initially put two in the fixture and had to take one out (didn't realize how bright 300W in a bedroom fixture would be!). I was replacing two 60w incandescent bulbs and these LED bulbs work as they use much less energy. These actually use 20W of energy, which is a little high for an LED (my 60w LED bulb uses 8.5W) but it's still less than an incandescent. I think these bulbs are a great replacement for a ceiling light for a bedroom, living room or if you are looking for a bright table lamp. They would definitely be perfect for a garage or storage area where you tend to want more light as well. For $35, you are getting six bulbs that generally last MUCH longer than incandescent so I think they are a great value. ... show more

The astronomical difference in better lighting is extraordinary with these bulbs. They’ve completely changed my front porch at night, transformed visibility to my long hallway, and made seeing in my windowless bathroom easy like Sunday morning. The lighting is marvelous and noticeable. There is nothing more frustrating to me than lack of light in a bathroom, kitchen or hallway, and I have been relieved of that.     • Not For Enclosed Fixtures, and Bright

These are standard sized screw in bases, but the bulb itself is slightly larger. The do not fit into the domed, fully enclosed light fixtures (and if they do they aren't recommended). The reason is these bulbs get hot. So avoid fire, melted plastic, or degradation of synthetic and plastic and don't install them in an enclosed fixture. I used them in an open ceiling fixture and in a lamp. They are nice, bright lights and provide good, white illumination. Allow them to cool after turning them off before touching to avoid burns (think of the heat produced by a 100 watt incadesant bulb). They draw 20 watts, so compared to a 150 watt incadesant they will use less electric, but 20 watts is a bit for an LED compared to the standard 8½ watts a normal LED uses. But the light does brighter up the room nicely. ... show more

These Energetic smarter lighting 150W 3000K bulbs are decent. They're quite bright, definitely a good bit brighter than 100W-equivalent LED bulbs. I use 2700K warm white normally but got 3000K to be a little cooler color more suitable for task lighting. 3000K is still warm and looks good. There's some slight flicker but I didn't notice it until I measured. With a light sensor on an oscilloscope I measured about 15% modulation at 120Hz, about 90% duty cycle (see picture). I tested all 6 bulbs in the pack and got the same result. It's very minor but these are not flicker-free. It's not hard to find true flicker-free bulbs these days if that's a priority. Watt meter shows these at 19.4W. ... show more
