I put only one bulb in to start and it was so bright, I felt as if I were staring into the sun or the star on stage, underneath the beaming spotlight. Waaaaaay too bright. I either wear my Foster Grants while I do my bathroom business or sustain a wicked migraine. My own fault for not having read the latest book on Light Bulbs For Dummies. I chose these bc I didn’t like the intense bright white light of some other bulbs, but these are definitely a little too dim for overhead lights with only one bulb (my kitchen). Works fine in my office overhead fixture which has two bulbs. Lesson learned!!

I ordered these bulbs since the LED bulb that came with my bedroom table was ready to stop working. I made sure that the wattage was satisfactory according to the specs on the lamp. I was concerned about the height of the bulb to fit beneath the spider so I measured the life size bulb on the computer screen and it was ok. I received the new bulbs promptly and it works fine and fits as I thought. As good if no better than the original. I can't rate the longevity and energy efficiency now . Too early. ... show more

    • Works right from 12 volt battery with no need for an inverter.

Using an inverter isn't as efficient as going right from the battery to the light bulb. The lack of another appliance is less burdensome.
