  • just buy it!!
This thing is fantastic. Starts fires easily, stays lit, puts out heat (for the size), and is a fraction of the price of a Solo. Don’t have a Solo but can’t believe it’s that much better, if at all. I pull this guy out when camping during fire bans, backpacking, or just chilling in the backyard when we’re out of real firewood. ... show more

  • Just like a solo stove but at a reasonable price
These types of stoves have been around for a while, and from before other companies managed to make them a lifestyle brand. (They make good products, not a dig on them) They improve fuel use by burning some of the gases given off by combustion that typically aren't burned. This stove works great at that burning just small twigs. I tested it by boiling 2 cups of water, and it took about 3 or 4 minutes, about what I would expect. I'm a bit of a camp stove fanatic, this makes the 9th stove I own. I've got 4 backpacking and 4 camp camp stoves that all use different types of fuel. This is our emergency, we don't have any fuel stove. And it also make a pretty nice, very small, fire pit. ... show more

  • Nasty burr, use caution
Came basically as advertised, no branding whatsoever, just a plain steel tube with holes and some internal geometry to burn wood gas It's not pretty, many of the holes have some sloppy workmanship with small dents and scuffs, and virtually every edge came with an approximately 1/2mm burr all the way around that nearly cut my hands when I first took it out of the packaging So far I have made one fire with this little thing (I ordered the smallest size with the intent of backpacking) and damn it pushes a lot of heat and flame with relatively little fuel! Burns through twigs with vigor, so while it needs near constant maintenance to keep a respectable flame, it would be very easy to control the heat on a pan/pot suspended above. At the size it packs away nicely and for what it is I think many campers/backpackers would rather carry a bulkier, heavier stove like this that burns wood than an ultralight butane burner that requires heavy (and limited) fuel to be packed alongside it. Overall 4/5 stars, rapidly shipped, well designed, and (so far) highly effective stove, despite requiring very significant deburring with a file prior to use. ... show more

  • Fantastic build quality for the money!
This stove has amazing build quality, and is every bit as sturdy as the Solo Stove for a fraction of the price. The only downfall in my opinion is the size - it doesnt really fit well nesting with any mainstream cookset in the way that the solostove does. That said, if that feature isnt important to you, you absolutely cannot go wrong with this stove. It kicks out some serious heat too, and can boil water very quickly, and also support pans of various sizes. I had no issue boiling with my Toaks 750, or using my carbon steel 10" skillet on it. If you are looking at this, I am sure you have already done your research on twig stoves and are desperately looking for a viable knockoff at a reasonable price. You have found it! Dont think twice. ... show more

  • This is a great stove!
If you want a nice portable camping wood stove at a great price, don't hesitate and buy. It is similar to the more expensive popular one out there at a fraction of the cost. Overall happy with it, its fun to just start up in the backyard if you want a small campfire. It does goes through the wood fairly quickly and is rather small. The quality is good and works as advertised. I also own the Solostove Titan and Campfire, this works just as well and is probably the size of a Mesa. I use it as my daily beater portable stove and it works great. Perfect for the price. ... show more

  • Amazing stove for the price
Works as good as my solos Feels more solid and tbh the steel plate is great less noisy and delicate than nichrome wire Only one con Is after one burn because it is flush riveted together I did get warping around the top between 2 rivets Still works fine and the cook ring helps Got an amazing patina after 2 burns Just like the lite it does fill up wick aand can give you a lot of charcoal but for cooking it works well as a table top fire pit I’d get something bigger closer to a mesa xl size ... show more

  • Just buy it
This thing is awesome. I have a fire pit from the big name manufacturer and this is a tiny version of it. I use it for my airplane camping setup since I can't fly with fuel for my gas-powered camp stoves. However, this thing is so cool sometimes I just use it at home because it is that much fun to feed it sticks. For the price, it's a no-brainer. ... show more

  • Way cheaper than the big name and works just as good!
I was looking at the big name stove just like this and came across this one for about 1/4 the price. This stove works great. It seems very sturdy and durable. I would not hesitate to buy again. A+
