Thin ripstop fabric I like to keep on hand for certain sewing projects. Smooth, easy to sew. My last project was making a fold up chair storage bag because the one that came with it was cheap, too tight and starting to tear. Worked great for that project.

After discovering that Louisiana allows hunters to wear blaze pink for safety as opposed to blaze orange, I went in search of blaze pink hunting apparel. After being unable to find many items for sale, I decided to make my own. This fabric is a good pic for blaze pink - it's a hot neon color that will show up good in the woods. Unfortunately, it is thin and a bit sheer, so I added a liner to my vest to solve that problem. The other thing I don't like is that the fabric is a bit shiny and noisy. It makes noise when I move, kind of like a plastic bag. I'm still looking for another fabric that to possibly make another. So, it is not ideal for what I bought it for, but it was definitely not a waste of time or money. I'll just keep hunting for another hot pink fabric that is a bit thicker and more quiet. In the meantime, I think my vest will do nicely. It was inexpensive and easy to cut and sew. And I think it came out pretty cute!!

I bought this material to make isolation gowns for local hospital during COVID-19 pandemic. I was hoping to make at least two, (bought out last 4 yards available) but was only able to make one. I needed material that was "spillproof", lightweight, etc. This material was those things and more! It was even "rip proof" as well! I was slightly disappointed though when I received the material. It wasn't asuch as I had hoped, and kind of pricey for an "out of work" hairstylist (because of pandemic)... I needed to keep busy (for my own sanity), so I donated my seeing talents, by making masks and isolation gowns! This material was great, I just wish I had more of it at the time...

This may not keep rain from sifting through if you lay it flat enough for rain to pool on the surface and stay there. Other than that, I find it an excellent cover for the cat shelter i have built on the side of my deck. It does not crack and fall apart like plastic storage bags do. UV does not effect its waterproof properties at all. I have not had this particular one long enough to last a whole summer (the ultimate test here) but it has survived a lot of rain without a hint of leakage. This gets 5 stars and 2 thumbs-up from me. After this coming summer, I will come back and give an update if it needs one.. No news will be good news. LOL
