The chair was a little difficult to put together as the instructions are very small. It looks flimsy when you look at it, but surprisingly holds up very well. The leather is soft and comfortable. It’s wide, which is very nice, but not long enough in the front to comfortably cross my legs, which is what I was hoping for. I don’t know if it’s just the way we put it together, but it also sits a little weird. I feel like the chair leans me forward, which is not great while sitting at a desk. Overall it’s a pretty good chair, but I don’t think I’d purchase it again.

I LOVE this office chair. I debated purchasing it for a long time, but it is spectacular. I can sit cross-legged, I have room to wiggle and move - it's comfy and awesome and also just looks super chic. Highly recommend.

My chair broke after 8 months. The lift mechanism broke and the chair basically threw me forward to the floor. I was recovering from knee replacement surgery, but managed to fall on my behind. I contacted EMIAH'S Customer Service department. They were polite. But heed my warning: if your chair breaks you had better be prepared with the skill, time, and tools to fix it yourself. The manufacturer will send what ever pieces you need, yes, but not necessarily at the same time. Please note that fixing a broken chair is much harder than assembling a new one with an Allen Wrench. Have you ever had to remove the gas cylinder from the base of the chair? Ideally you'll need a rubber mallet, WD-40, and a large wrench. Then you'll need to slam the mallet on the base until the cylinder dislodges. IF it dislodges which mine has not. Sounds like fun? It's not. In addition the chair is now in pieces all over my small apartment while I wait another 24 hour cycle to hear the next steps from the Customer Service people in Asia. Likely they will want to send a new base which will take 5 to 7 days to arrive. Normally this type of thing doesn't phase me. But the price point for this chair (I paid over $200) raised my expectations that I might be getting some slightly higher quality than cheaper chairs. My expectations were misplaced. It's an okay chair with a design flaw (the cylinder is likely too narrow to support the chair properly). Customer Service may be well intentioned but are unprepared to resolve quality issues with any speed. Move on and buy one of the hundreds of other chairs on Amazon.
