✨Update: Still using it and loving it for the price point! I still use this regularly and it’s been reliable for making snacks. It works well and gets the job done every time. That said, it’s a bit louder than I expected and does give off some heat while running. Even with that, I’ll keep using it because it’s consistent and dependable. I’ve been genuinely impressed with this dehydrator and use it regularly. It’s very easy to use, heats evenly, and has plenty of tray space, which makes it great for making snacks at home in larger batches. I mainly use it for dehydrated fruit and snacks like bananas, mangoes, and chickpeas, and everything has turned out consistently well with a great texture every time. One of the biggest wins for me has been the cost savings. I used to spend quite a bit on store-bought dehydrated fruit, and making my own has saved a lot of money. I also love knowing exactly what’s in my snacks—no added sugar, preservatives, or fillers. Even with frequent use, I haven’t noticed any real increase in my electricity bill, which was a pleasant surprise. The trays are easy to clean, the controls are simple and straightforward, and it runs quietly enough that I feel comfortable leaving it on overnight. It’s become a regular part of my kitchen routine and makes healthy snacking easy and enjoyable. One small con: if you’re brand new to dehydrating, there’s a bit of trial and error at first to figure out ideal slice thickness and timing for different foods. Once you get the hang of it, though, it’s very easy and consistent. This has been a fantastic purchase. It’s reliable, efficient, and well worth it if you want to make your own snacks at home. The Good: * I like the timer in one hour increments * It has several different pre-defined temperatures, which happen to work well for my use case (I'm actually using it to dry out 3D printer filament) * It's small and doesn't take up much room when not in use * It is clean and looks good on the desk when I'm drying filament The Meh: * The fan is a touch loud. Not bad, and it doesn't squeal or anything, just a little loud * The beeps are very loud, but you only hear them when setting up the timer and temperature The Bad: * Nothing The Verdict: Definitely recommend, especially for 3D printing hobbyists. Seems to work better than more expensive dedicated dryers. This is a basic model with no timer and only gets up to around to perhaps 65C so it will work for TPU and PETG it just takes a little time. It will hold 2 1 Kg rolls but the trays will need to be modified. YouTube has many videos on how to cut the plates with just your flush snippers. WEAR SAFTY GLASSES WHEN DOING THIS. ... show more

    • Terrible dehydrator, plastic taste and too small

This dehydrator sucks. It takes forever to dehydrate due to the absolutely horrendous design, it leaks heat and air like no other. Even when turning the knob as high as it can go, this thing takes HOURS. And not the typical 4 hours or so either; this thing needs to run overnight if you put anything larger than your pinky (given that you have a thin pinky) in, and even then it needs to be about half the width to even fit. If you put the platforms in standoff position, to fit the only very slightly larger items on, it leaks even MORE heat and you can expect to run this thing for probably close to 14 hours or so. I would have better luck with my oven cracked open, to be honest. The worst part about this dehydrator is the taste it leaves on your food. I wish it was only slightly plasticy/soapy, if there wasn't much or it was more of a note then I wouldnt care. But it's absolutely overwhelming. The plastic is the ONLY taste that comes through. The food you dehydrated is the hint, you are eating fruit flavored plastic for the most part. It's disgusting, I can't believe amazon allows this on here. I've tried contacting customer service, no response. Been a few months since I bought this and multiple email bouts later, 0 responses and 0 help. It's actually atrocious. It's also worth noting that you cannot make fruit leather with this, short of some sort of silicone mat or something but I can't be bothered to find one/make one as the dehydrator itself simply isn't worth any more money/time.
