I was super hesitant about these. Me and my boyfriend rent a basement apartment which lacks a kitchen. We have been looking at these for awhile (specifically the 80-120$ ones). While looking i know i wanted 2 burners, it makes cooking quicker. So options where to buy a double burner or 2 single. We got the coiled singles. Our total was about 23$ after taxes. They are abit finicky, they will shut off after about 5 minutes but we just turned the knob to off and back on again and it worked. Obviously we used HUGE pans but the coils heated them perfectly. They didn’t seem wobbly or unstable at all. I think if your looking for a temporary and cheap option, this is it! I saw so many reviews back and forth about the use of these. I know we are very flexible with what we have and work with what we’ve got. you are paying for the quality, but these are VERY good for 11$ I 100% recommend these SO FAR. I will update if anything negative comes to light.

Gas line leak knocked my stove out of commission, but this inexpensive little solution saved the day! Plenty of space for 2 large pans (a little small for a big soup pot but hey this is an inexpensive burner!) If I found myself living in a tiny house one day I could imagine using this burner, a quality toaster oven and a mini fridge for all of my tiny house cooking needs.... Don't fear this purchase - it's a good one.

This is a great portable double burner. My concern was the burners would sit too closely to each other to use both at the same time. If I use a pot or skillet that fits on the burner and not too big, it works. Of course, it is pulling from the same amount of electric whether u use one burner or two, so you can’t have both burners hot enough to boil, but it works fine for our needs. I would recommend this if anyone needs a double burner that is portable and easy to move around.

To survive in my hellscape of a dorm, I knew I needed more than a plastic hotpot that either boils or sits there. And let's face it, the communal kitchen had been nuked within a week of desperate summer residents flocking to the stove like ants to dropped ice cream. This thing is a lifesaver, a morale-booster, and a powerful addition to any small space. In my TotallySanctioned® makeshift dorm/prison kitchenette, it fits right in, and oh my is it powerful. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first when I saw complaints about it not boiling. When I tried it both on a large pot of water for noodles and a smaller one for a serving of soup, it boiled quick. Granted, this is in reference to the gas I grew up cooking on. I can even get pots going without putting lids on them which I think says a lot. If it's difficult to boil, remember that this draws a lot of power, enough to dim some lights, so try it with a surge protector and it might perform better. It's quite rigid and I think it'll hold up for a while. Of course, I'll update if it breaks, but after examining it and testing it, I doubt I'll have to. It does have a smell when it's first turned on, but this faded away for me after the first use. It smelled like turning on a new iron for the first time, nothing unusual. I sure wish I'd bought this first before a hotpot and skillet, but the more the merrier. This will let me achieve some pretty ludicrous dishes as a dorm chef. Plus, I can see myself using it for many more things even if I do get that kitchen one day, like candle making and keeping food warm.

Takes a little time to heat up, but it's cast iron burner so to be expected, seems a little under powered, but it holds an even heat and will remain hot long after powering off, , holds heat well. Fit and finish are great, no surprises, priced accordingly with performance. Recommended.

Bought this as a temporary solution to the gas being turned off in my apartment. It’s compact enough to sit on my small countertop without taking up too much space (wouldn’t leave it there though because counterspace is prime real estate here!). Both burners heated up quickly though some steam/heat was generated as if I were cooking over an open flame. It stored back in the box nicely too. Works as expected.
