I knew this was tiny when I ordered it. I am not a fan of pods. I have done French press for single-serve. But I wanted a drip maker I could use a paper filter with (this takes #2 cone filters...or the included "permanent" filter, which is not the same as a paper filter, but I digress). But this is perfect for me ... their "four cups" makes just slightly more than a mug of coffee. See the photo. And that's not a huge mug. If you like drip coffee, but don't want to brew enough for the Waffle House, this is for you. Good value. UPDATE: Now that I've had this awhile, not taking away any stars, but there are a couple things to note. As some other reviewer(s) have mentioned, you can't use the power switch without holding the unit down with your other hand. It requires too much pressure, and the unit is too light. The decanter is miniature in every way, including the pouring lip. So if you think you have to pour slowly from your full-size decanter that doesn't have a wide lip, you really have to slow down with this. When will product designers learn? EVERYONE likes a wide lip on the decanter, not just servers. NOBODY likes the little narrow ones. We're pouring into mugs, not espresso cups. And finally, the "sneak a cup" feature on this doesn't really work ... it continues to drip. I think maybe the spring is too weak, but it also could be the gasket isn't pliable/wide enough. But if you can't wait for this tiny little batch to brew, you are really jonesing. Anyway, still five stars, because, look at the price. ... show more

I loved it for the first few days that it was working. It was easy to use easy to set up. Everything was perfect. The cleaning process it was perfect. Then it stopped working about after 2 1/2 weeks. I cannot figure out what’s going on with it I think it is an internal problem. Because the light the power light comes on, but that’s all it does and it makes a weird noise. But it doesn’t get hot anymore. It doesn’t make coffee. The water doesn’t go anywhere so I’m actually very disappointed in this product because if I’m going to pay money for something, I at least wanna be able to use it for 30 to 60 days before it immediately stops working on me. ... show more

Bought it for vacation. Makes really good coffee, very lightweight, except it’s a little bit noisy, and when you pour in the water, the spout kind of drips on your counter. Overall though, satisfied. Grateful for vacation.

The coffee from my single cup device, which is a few years old, wasn’t tasting so great. Cleaning and descaling improved it somewhat, but I decided to try a basic drip type device. Glad I did. This little machine is simple to use, no bells & whistles, just fill the reusable filter basket with ground coffee and pour in a carafe of filtered water. I can say what others have said. It's a great coffeemaker. It's small enough for one or two people, easy to clean, and makes good coffee. As someone stated before, the on/off button requires two hands to use: one for holding the coffee maker and the other to turn the button on or off. I am also unclear on what kind of filters to use in the filter basket. Still searching. In general, I gave this a five star because I am able to make coffee quickly in the morning.
