The toaster has a nice look, the digital time remaining readout is nice. I needed a toaster that I could place horizontally on the counter, so having the controls on the side instead of the end was very helpful. I have to subtract a star because the toaster does not toast the bread evenly on both sides. It isn't enough of a difference to warrant returning the item. It is about one level different (i.e., one side will look like the darkness level set and the other side will be 1 level lighter). The defrost setting works when taking a new loaf out of the freezer and immediately putting a slice in the toaster. I haven't tested the bagel setting. The long slots work well for slices of sour dough rounds and rye breads that have wider slices. For the price, it serves its purpose. ... show more

I got tired of making toast in the toaster oven for my kids. This is simple to use. They can make the toast without burning themselves. Looks good on counter with other stainless appliances in kitchen. I like the digital countdown as well.

Can handle both halves of most buns up to that big 9 in sub bun But... doesn't toast both sides evenly I can't recall, in the last 50 years, any toaster that did The countdown timer is nice Does frozen waffles well

It has lots of great features, but my favorite is the count down timer. As soon as you start the toaster, you know at a glance how much time is left before it is done. Ability to toast large pieces of bread is great too. It is easy to use and looks good in our kitchen as well.

The toaster is a little uneven but it works in a pinch. It runs slightly hotter than expected so I turned it down quite a bit. It is a good size for the countertop. The slots are big enough for 4 standard slices of bread or 2 large sourdough bread slices (you know the ones that come from the round loaf from San Francisco). So haven’t even used it but before opening the box noticed some holes in the box then opened it and yep it’s got a crease/dent on it. Found a small black piece of plastic also. We received a replacement toaster quickly and have used it a couple times. So far I like everything. Little bit of a learning curve on setting the amount of time to toast something. A lot for your money and the bagel feature is the best. Using it for toasting only and takes up much less space than a toaster oven which I rarely used for anything but toasting.
